With all the rv's being built and sold the campground owners are probably rejoicing.....now they won't have any empty sites so they can raise their prices accordily......

I saw a segment on TV lately about people that live in their cars at Walmart parking lots. Very sad. I would think that Walmart would be within their rights to require that you buy something in their stores in order to boondock there. I believe that most people do now.

I'm on the west coast and finding spots isn't easy. All the nice spots are booked months in advance. I don't see it getting any better. More and more people want to do the RV thing and there are no new places to go.

Remember a lot of the RVs were probably sold for Hurricane recovery in Florida and Texas. They a probably sitting in the front or side yards of the individuals that are trying to rebuild their homes. RV parks won't get a penny from them for a few years.

Maybe Walmart will start charging an 'overnight' fee? ๐Ÿ™‚

CBS evening news just had a segment about the boom in rv s. Elkhart has a 1.9% unemployment rate. Mickedees there is offering a$150 hiring bonus.
Contrary to belief camp ownership is not a cash cow, its a life much like farming.
Farmers are at the whimsy of weather, crop price, economy. Much more.

Campgrounds just have a different kind of crop.. we still have to weather all the issues a farmer has to.

Yep, I've been to a few campgrounds where I thought one or two guests might have mad cow disease... ๐Ÿ˜‰

However many of those new RVs will make a maiden voyage and then be parked in front of the home garage forever. For those that will use them, most wonโ€™t dry camp or boondock..meaning no change where I go.

Yep, and then people will stop going to the CG because it's too expensive.
So, there will be plenty of empty sites. ๐Ÿ™‚
