I still need some additional campers for our Coffeyville, KS location.

In Coffeyville you will get a PAID campsite as well as PAID utilities (except propane), $10.50 per hour base pay, time & one half for all overtime, a completion bonus of $1 per hour if you work until released on Dec 23rd if not earlier, (so it's like earning $11.50 per hour) and you get the Amazon employee discount while you are working for us.

The people in Coffeyville are friendly, you'll be there for the Dalton Days Rodeo, and we have some fun events planned for campers while you are with us.

I need to hear from you NOW! TO APPLY: www.amazon.com/camperforce

Hello all

Well I made it out of the hills just before the snow storm and I am now at Big Chief just North of Coffeyville across from Amazon.

As long as she has a green card, she should be good to go! Easy to apply - go to www.amazon.com/camperforce - I see you are in TX so if it's Coffeyville you are interested in you can give them a call also - the number is 620-464-2665

Safe Travels!

Do you have to be a citizen to work for Amazon? My wife (British) has worked in the US for fifteen years as a legal resident (Green Card). I assume that will be okay for Amazon, yes?

Hi Jim,

We should have the results now. Unfortunately 2 of the staff members that have the responsibility for CamperForce have both had to be out of the office unexpectedly. I imagine they are trying to wade through a ton of emails and just haven't contacted you yet. I'll ping them & ask that they let you know your outcome. Thanks for letting me know!

Hello All

Question: How long of a wait for the results of the drug screening? Mine was a week ago Monday September 9th.

I guess I am getting the itch to go only two weekends left here, the Buffalo Roundup is next Friday and then the arts festival and chili cook off (yummy). Also the touch of fall is in the air and it is time to move to the winter pastures, although I am not sure how Coffeyville fits in that scenario.

The summer Coffeyville situation was an unusual occurrence. We could not find enough local agency workers to help us out during a fairly large bump up in business. During peak, as NorCal Dan has pointed out, the amount of overtime available is dependent upon fluctuations in our business. Generally speaking, we go to mandatory 50 hour weeks (never more for campers unless you volunteer for more hours) at the Black Friday point. That said, it does depend upon the number of orders at each of the centers how much overtime will be offered. It is usually available during the holiday peak.

We do from time to time hire agency workers that do a good job - this is also true of campers as we have hired a few who wanted to settle down for a year or two at one of our facilities. Michael Cross, our CamperForce Administrator in Coffeyville is an example of this.

Please let me know if you have any other questions! Still need a few more folks for Coffeyville, so if you are a current employee, PLEASE refer people - we pay a $50 referral fee for each person (rules apply) and a referral is the best way for us to find more folks.

There is no way to forecast overtime availability. Been at TUL1 since April and there have been some weeks with mandatory OT and other weeks with VTO offered. Even during "peak" there is no way to know what the market will do for the backlog of work. Unless they call the shift and send everybody home you should be able to at least get your 40 hours even if it means working out of department.

Amazon uses the Staff Management company to hire temp workers who have the opportunity to convert to normal Amazon associates if they qualify. I do not know how many local's are available for these positions. They still have to meet Amazon requirements for education, drug testing, US Citizenship, and english competency.

Amazon hires CamperForce (CF) personnel direct and you will be under contract to work a specific period of time. Normally they hire CF personnel for "peak" season, roughly October through 23 December, to handle the high workload of the Christmas buying season. But this year they experienced a very high workload and started hiring CF in April with the option to stay through "peak".

There was plenty of voluntary overtime available this summer when we worked there. With nothing to do in Coffeyville, there's plenty of incentive to work the overtime as well.
