Opinions please of a fair price for a used Yamaha EF2800I. Retail is 1500 USD and is evidently not discounted according to the online big generator sellers. 100 hours allegedly. TIA.

I'd agree, with one exception - post an ad here in Ontario for a used Honda EU2000i for $1000 Cdn (sells new for ~ $1500 Cdn) and it's a race to see who is lucky enough to grab it first. I've done it twice myself, no issues at all in getting a quick sale. Now that the EU2200i is available for the same price new that will no doubt put pressure on EU2000i owners to drop their asking price a bit but the genset will still sell quickly. :B

I sold my 10 year old EF2800I on Flea Bay for a grand 2 years ago. Bought a Champion and banked the remainder of the money. Good genny but at 10 years old I was worried about the electronics going south.
