Fans and Dust

In our sticks-n-bricks, we have a floor fan that we use at night. It's not needed, but we like the feel and noise of it. The other day, I noticed that it had gotten somewhat dusty. I pulled the cover off and took a damp washcloth and wiped it all down. Removing the dust from the fan cover/grate (front and back) and the fan blades. I put it back to ttogether and when I turned it on that night, I was very surprised at how much more air flow there was. It didn't appear badly dusted, but apparently it does not take very much to affect the performance. This reminds me I need to check/clean the fans/screens in the vents of the RV. Just a friendly reminder about this sort of thing.

Good advice. Some people make a cheap air purifier by taping a square air filter to the back of a box fan...that may help reduce the amount of junk sucked up into the A/C filter.
