#1492 Washington,DC Moderator, I fail to grasp the point of your post!! Is this topic not proper in the General RVing Issues?
Thanks in advance for your guidance

Yep plus you'd be suprised by the number of new RV's who say "I was not supposed to put that down there"

I have worked the "honey wagon" in the past and it's not a job I would want ever again. There was a time or two we had to go in the RV and pull through the toilet do to blockages but we used a smaller dia hose and always reduced the vacuum pressure. Using the bucket method was standard procedure for the outside and you'd be suprised how many people are getting no benefit from their vitamins. I even had a helpful owner hit the electric valve switch for his black tank before we were ready and I had to burn the pants and shirt I had on.

If you are contemplating using a residential septic company to empty your tank by one of their trucks don't.

The extreme power of those septic companies vacuums will collapse your rv black holding tank.

A profession septic tank company knows this and will not do it. You have to watch out for inexperienced drivers of these trucks.

If your valves are broke which is the reason you want to do it from the toilet? I would pay an rv mobile repair guy to come out and fix them for you.

AND even then it should NOT be emptied from the valve hookup by a residential sewer company vacuum either.

At our sporting events we 'do' have a commercial sewer pumping truck come out to dump our tanks. BUT they put a bucket under the black tank valve and one guy opens the RV valve to let it come out in the bucket and the other guy sticks the trucks vacuum into the bucket. They never hook up to an RV black tank.

We must be willing to get rid of the life we've planned,
so as to have the life that is waiting for us.

Hi.. sound like the tank will no dump by opening the gate so the tank can dump. The cable from the gate runs down to the handle which is pulled to open the gate. This most of this cable is covered by the under belly...lubricant the cable from handle to we it goes into under belly. Problem maybe cable hiden in belly is dry, cable is kinked, or cable is disconnected. From gate. To get to most of the cable and gate you will need to drop belly. This is a major job. Camping world will do it or you can do it your self.. I had this problem on one of my trailers. Jim2007

Sounds to me like a potentially nasty job.....

For a one time thing it would be okay.
I'm guessing you have a valve problem and can't dump your tank the normal way?
I wouldn't want to do it on a regular basis.
