Nice kludge! Cheaper than running the main A/C overnight if you're paying for electricity. Probably does a better job of masking night noises, too. Could probably run off a small 'quiet' 2kW inverter generator, too, if off hook-ups.

I guess it's cheaper than buying a new roof unit. Sometimes aftermarket is way overpriced.

Saw this a few weeks ago. Follow the 2X4 down and you will see the bottom is sitting on a cement block.
