Gas mileage on a Ram 2500 4x4 Crew Cab

Started doing research to upgrade my RAM 1500 to a RAM 2500 in anticipation of the next RV purchase. Noticed at the dealer that they are not required to post a mileage estimate because the truck is considered heavy duty.

If I upgrade, this vehicle would also be my DD, 60 miles round trip per day.

Anybody have a Ram 2500 willing to share what they get for mileage with and without their travel trailer?

I had the 6.4 and got 16-17 hwy and 10-11 around town and 7-8 towing 10000lb 5er. Had the 3.73 rear end. All hand calculated.

17-19 highway. 15-16 around town unloaded. 12-13 towing my landscape trailer around town. 8-9 towing my 11k 5er. 2014 3500 srw 6.4.

My 2013 RAM 2500 Crew Cab 4x4 with the Cummins gets around 20mpg daily mixed driving and last year was getting about 11-12mpg towing a 34ft Jayco Eagle Travel Trailer and we were loaded pretty heavy for a week of camping with my wife and 2 daughters.

My older 2001 RAM 3500 got 17-19 highway 8-10 towing a 34' TT.

My numbers are pretty much the same as Nevadanick. 17-19 highway. 8-10 towing, depending on speed, wind, and hills. No problems with long grades at my TT weight, about 7500lbs ready to camp.

I get 17-19 on the highway with my 6.4 and average overall is 14-15. 8-9 towing an enclosed cargo trlr.

I would seriously consider a Cummins diesel, that is exactly the type of driving a diesel loves!!!

My diesel gets 19 to 21 , towing my 27 foot trailer at 62 miles per I get 14 and 15 .
