My wife & I are fulltimers and have noticed something durin the past couple of years. Several trips ago, a truck diver emptied his pee bucket against the side of our rig while we were in a Welcome Center. We noticed it while we were exiting the builkding. My wife did'nt want me to confrom the driver for fear that he might try have road rage further down the road. Well fast forward to today and we have a another situation. We did not realize it until we got to the campground for the night. I went to get the sewer hose from the bed of the truck and it was gone. I always put plastic bags at each end of the hose securred by rubber bands to control odor and leakage...well the bags and bands were there but no hose or connectors. The only time that it could have happened was at luch at a rest area (with a trucker parked next to us). I know that some on the forum must be former truckers so please enlighen me. If I am not going up to speed I always pull to the right to let truckers pass as I understand that they are trying to make a living...so what gives?

Just think!! If we all used Gator Aid bottles we could eliminate having black tanks and dump hoses and searching for dump stations.

In my experience of being a trucker I have never been that good that I could pee in a bottle while driving down the road. I know it is done but it's got to be messy. The ones I have seen throwing these things out the window are usually imported drivers. May be that is what is done where they come from.

Bingo , We got a winner !!
A friend that works at the local scales /truck inspection could write a book on what he has seen come through. Team driver's are the worst he said. They will actually cut a hole in the floor of the cab and take a dump , pee etc and keep on truckin. He has to inspect trucks : where they drive over a covered pit and he is underneath doing a visual inspection/check and the******is from the cab to end of the undercarriage on some.

It sure is a shame what our country is turning into !!!!!!

We never had problems at truck stops or with truckers at rest areas or on the roads.

I can spell it but you can't get it from urine.

Am I reading this right? You watched some guy pour pee down the side of your rig and you did nothing? :E

Where do you think the pee and poop goes from a cattle pot with 50 head inside?

Yeah you should have stood up for yourself and confronted the driver or call the police......I think its ok to dump it out in the parking lot but not on your camper.....

Lots of good truckers out there as well as a few bad. Lots of good rv'ers out there as well as a few bad. Same thing in everything in life, Lots of good and a few bad. Should never label all bad because of a couple of bad. If you have trouble on the road the trucker is more likley to stop and help over another rv'er.

...but I didn't have any mayo.

I regret not photographing the layout so I could post it but I have never seen anyone get so upset about blocking access to pumps when the fact is the pumps were not being blocked.

They were not blocked at the time but someone may need access while you are waiting in line to pay for your mayo. In addition parking next to a building or not in a designated parking spot can be a situation where a Fire Marshall can cite as well.

I hate manuevering in gas stations because someone will not park in designated spots which leaves narrow areas to move around in. Yes it is an inconvenience to park in a designated spot but that's what they are designed for.

I was not the only person that was in the wrong, there was a car carrier loaded up with about a dozen new cars that was parked in the same area I had planned on parking in, I just figured that the guy driving the car carrier was probably doing the same thing I was going to do and maybe he was just making a quick stop for a bathroom break, soda or maybe a sandwich. I parked with the rear of my camper about 50 to 100 feet in front of his front bumper, we were both about 10 feet away from the curb of the sidewalk. I didn't want to get into a silly argument about where I parked and although there are good days where I can probably walk more than a couple miles but on this particular day walking about 1,000 from my truck to the store and walking another 1,000 feet back to my truck would have been too painful for my knees to handle.

Hmm, you know, my money is on this scenario if I had to bet.

Why didn't I think of this before? I could have blamed a trucker for those Lynx Levelers that didn't make it back into my trailer.

I've got a whole list of things over the past 7 years that got left behind. I have an even longer list of things I forgot in hotel rooms over 30 years of traveling - - wonder who I can blame for those?

There's good and indifferent in every crowd.
Several years ago we had a flat on thee fifth wheel and no where to get off. We were fifty feet beyond the exit.
A Semi Driver parked on the far side of the Interstate to come to our aid. No clearance to traffic lane. He crawled under the fifth wheel and managed to change the tire that way. Would accept nothing. I felt uncomfortable offering it. Not accustomed to much.
Said stick in the offering late and pass the kindness along. We try to do that.
Seen the other side too. Had one inquire but not friendly about air brakes and not having to have an endorsement. Had some valves on wheels bent too the rubber kind with metal in the stem.
Just don't look for things.
