This morning Erika died near Cuba. Florida will only get rain. Some places in Florida do not need the rain.

The areas that do need rain might want to consider having the employees of the weather channel visit. The tears they are shedding because they won't have a disaster to cover are enough to irrigate a whole lot of acreage.
This goes for the local stations as well. No reporting from the beach dressed in rain slicks getting buffeted by wind or pointing to downed limbs proclaiming "Storm Damage"!

Or the stop sign shaking in the wind.

What is Jim Cantore going to do??

He was all set to cover it.

We Floridians could always predict where the hurricane was going based on where Jim set up to broadcast. ๐Ÿ™‚

We'd sure be glad for the rain out here...That said, glad the hurricane aspect of the storm has died out, anyway.

Yeah, Dominica got his hard with the rain.

I mentioned the flooding aspect on another thread.

Some of the spaghetti models predict it's going to miss Florida altogether.

It wasn't the Wind that did the most damage in PR and Dominica, it was the massive amounts of rain!! In addition what is left of the storm is headed out over warm water and has the chance to regain strength.
