My sewer hose got stolen...

When I purchased my TT back in 2011, a flimsy sewage hose came with it, so I tossed it into the bumper and forgot about it, as I bought a far better hose which resides in a plastic tub in a storage compartment.

While doing some inspections this past weekend, I popped the end caps off, noticed the hose in the bumper was gone.

No big loss... because that hose was something that would be just for a dire emergency if the other two hoses failed..

It is a good thing in a way that after four years of camping, averaging 24-30 camping days a year, that the one item that walks off is the stinky slinky.

If the endcaps were replaced I'd say they took it while you were nearby. Right under your nose so to speak.

I'm sure if they were that desperate and had asked you'd have said have at it.

Maybe they sold Joe Joe a hose spreader and he needed a hose to spread...fire in the hole!

The solution for this would be a long metal strip, two metal bars (one placed at each end), and two padlocks. This would be placed through the endcaps (and the hose) and locked.

However, there is just a limit of what I'm going to bother securing. Life is too short to try to lock down everything.

My Rig is 10 years old.. In that time I have replaced the 20' Camco self storing hose (The one that comes in a plastic tube)

I have wore out 2 Rino flex

One other

But the flimsy hose that came with the rig....that's the one I'm using right now.

What really surprises me is that they put the end cap back on...a considerate thief!

I'm quite sure, as I looked through with a light on the other side, and would have seen it. Not like it is a big deal, since that hose was a backup for the backup hose...

Just makes me wonder sometimes.

I guess that's what they get for stealing...a sh!tty sewer hose. There are plenty of knuckle heads out there.

Are you sure it is not in there? Those cheap hoses are short and bumping around down the road, mine has often migrated to the very middle of the tubular bumper. I've had to get a long hook (my awning hook) to reach in and fish it out.

I really can't imagine someone stealing your cheap slinky and then putting the cap back on.

A cheap sewer hose after 4 year's, are you sure it didn't turn to dust. If it was still there it would be a soaker hose instead of sewer hose.

Somethings just boggle the mind :S

Of all the things to steal that is one item I just wouldn't even consider.

Always figured if I was to steal something it would have to be large wads of cash from a bank or bearer bonds. Stole a piece of candy when I was 7----it wasn't worth it.
Is it time for your medication or mine?

In my case I would be questioning my memory on whether or not I really put it back in there 4-years ago.
