My sleep sucks

Brand new TT, queen size bed. Added a foam topper and thick goose down like topper and finally the bed is soft enough and thick enough. BUT... I'm cramped. Can't toss and turn because overhead storage and if not careful I'll hit my head. Wardrobe closets on both sides come down half the length of the bed. And entertainment center is right up against the foot of the bed, making it so you can't stretch out.

Add the wife in the bed and the 2 of us feel cramped and we get no sleep. That puts a damper in the trips and driving back home today I was so tired it took all I had not to fall asleep at the wheel.

I'm not sure what the answer is, but this issue may cause me to trade in. Thing is I just traded up 5 months ago.

Tacswa3...

Frequently understated and over-looked. Should be way - up on
the list of must - haves....right under lay-out. My current
(space) and comfort level is better then in my sticks and bricks.

I commiserate with your problem... not sure what approach I'd take.
Good quality new mattresses seem to start around $800...the "in-cave"
experience probably doesnt have a work around. Good luck.

Doesn't sound like OP needs a new mattress, just a bigger sleep area. It sounds horrible to me too, because I like to stretch out while sleeping. Any way to do something with that entertainment center? Sounds claustrophobic.

a replacement mattress.... trailers are expensive...

for me, a super thick foam egg crate pad.. but that's me.

but sizing the bed was the second thing I made sure fit me. but I am 6'3.

if you can get comfortable ... the size may not be a big deal.

First thing we changed when we hit the road FT was the OEM mattress.

Out it went in the factory plastic and in came the Tempur-Pedic Queen

Sleep is number one for our old bodies. Could you cut the bed platform down. We threw the old mattress in the lake and replaced it with 6 inches of foam and an additional 2 inch egg crate foam to act as a pillow top.
