Then simply give notice that that the bath facilities will be closed. No reason to close the Campground to those who are self contained which is the majority.

Nooooo. Don't come to AZ, our parks are still overly populated with snowbirds. I'm a local can't get a state park reservation until May.

Oregon St parks are still open. On their web site they have an article about how they're taking some extra precautions as far as cleaning goes. While camping seems like social distancing, many campers will use the restrooms, showers and common facilities.
Weekday campers are probably retired and in the high risk group.

Thinking about it actually. Spring break trips are a no-go, kids school just cancelled until end of April, sports cancelled. Don't really want to expose a certain family member to unnecessary urban settings due to compromised immune.
Yet the weather forecast and current water temps in the Phoenix area say that weather will be beautiful and lakes hitting 70deg in a couple weeks.
Thought about loading up the camper, hitching up the boat and camp by the lake down there. Just dunno if the parks wil1 be open.

Up here in Michigan I'm looking at the same thing... It may be cooler than you'll have but it's a pleasant way of self quarantining...

No offense but this post gets the prize for the most redundant post on RV.net in a long, long while... ๐Ÿ˜‰

I came across a bumper sticker that says it well: "The answer to the question 'Can people really be that stupid?' is always 'Yes.'"

I bought the only one they had. I could use a few more.

Wait what???

It says in the article that:

All 35 parks will remain open for day use.

So does that mean the virus only spreads at night? :R Interesting!

Hmmm, what about the citizens in Barrow Alaska who experience 2 months of darkness, doesn't seem fair :B

Well this is the sort of thing incompetent politicians do when they want to pretend they are doing something. They take some useless step that inconveniences the public as a show of activity.

I am not a resident of NM and know nothing of the politics or even the political party in control, BUT it seems obvious there is an incompetent, two faced governor running the State.

Before closing open areas and State Parks it would first make sense to close all areas where people actually congregate. That would mean all sporting events, all restaurants, bars, movie houses, malls, churches, places of business, courts, non-essential public offices, etc, etc.

If you pull your head out of the sand, you will see that the venues you listed are being cancelled. Stay home and drink your problems away.
