Might as well it's winter and I'm bored :B. So we already have the barking dog thread. Let's get it out of our system. Did I miss any? What gets your goat?

You tell me yours I'll tell you mine

You left out generators and porch lights.

The porch lights I can take, but some folks are just plum scared of the dark and should find some pastime that suits them better. If you have to light up your campsite like an airport runway all night you have a problem.

did my first night landing a few week ago and I WISH the runway had been lit up like some of the campsites we've seen. ๐Ÿ™‚

People who camp in a "public campground" and complain about what other people do. :R

Cabin Fever is almost an epidemic already! :S

In the middle of 10 million acres of public land all open to boondocking someone will set up their camp 25 feet from my camp.

Loud boisterous parties held by clubs, groups of friends. They seem to feel they have the right to annoy other campers, who are trying to enjoy the peace and quiet of the outdoors. I have been at this camping thing for many many years and it just seems to get worse with each new generation.

NEWSFLASH!!!! Beer cans don't burn in fire rings. Love it when the previous site occupier has left me some firewood but hate it when they leave non burnable trash like cans & diapers.

Not a fan of the outdoor scare lights being left on all night. I am not scared. I am annoyed at having your light shine into my unit all night. If you want to be lit up like Vegas, get out of the CG & go to Vegas.

Glad we rv at the casinos and 55+ parks. Better with adults and other camps that are more rustic but are in areas that we've checked out to filter low lifes.

Having to spend the day reading about camping because it's 9 degrees with a wind-chill of -11, instead of camping.

Come on spring and warm weather.

If noisy kids, drunks, rude people, I already have to deal with dog dung become a insurmountable problem. I just hook up and leave. My RV has wheels and I'm not afraid to use them.

Gripe number 2: Cigarette butts left all over a campsite when the previous 'tenant' has left! That gripes my claw bigger than anything! It's nasty, disgusting, dirty, and RUDE to the next camper. I've picked up so damn many cigarette butts at campgrounds it's a wonder I haven't caught some kind of disease!

I AM NOT COMPLAINING about your right to smoke or not! I'M COMPLAINING ABOUT YOUR NASTY DISREGARD TO COMMON DECENCY! WHAT DO YOU THINK IS GOING TO HAPPEN TO THAT STUPID BUTT ON THE GROUND... DO YOU REALLY THINK A BIRD WILL COME ALONG AND EAT IT OR SOMETHING... NO! SOMEONE HAS TO PICK UP YOUR NASTY MESS!

Now... you want a good battle ... respond to these two issues!

Dutchman- My wife and I both smoke and you will get no argument from us on this one. When we pull in to a site the first thing out of the trailer is an ashtray and it is the last thing we pack when we leave. We make sure all the buts are out and they go in the trash not the fire ring. I too get frustrated when I police my site of others cigarette butts. We believe in the old rule of leaving our site better than we found it.

My gripe is the dog owners who feel they are above the rules and don't leash their dogs or use a leash longer than a 6 foot.I have owned and loved dogs all my life but I don't want yours running through my space.

What about outside speakers? Are you guys telling me it's rude to sit outside at midnight with the lights on, listening to the radio, smoking a cigarette, drinking a beer, and watching my dog take a dookie next to the firepit? What is this country coming to?

Good ol' camping

I bought a LED light strip specifically to be more discret. I can dim it to its lowest setting and make them red (which is easier on the eyes) it just puts a very dim glow just enough so I can see but really isn't nearly as noticeable as a large amber light or porch light.

Also I keep my outside speakers reasonable, so that others want gear them, if no one else is near my site, I turn them up more. I can't resist a little more volume for Pink Floyd if no one else is around.

As a Host I have found poo in the showers twice and picked up a record 58 cig butts outside one campfire ring (couldn't believe it and had to count them). Good thing we love our jobs.
