Don't know what the diameter of the hook is. The older bar has the chain welded to it and there is only 1/2" space available on the chain link for the hook to fit.

The only issue I have is the older bar has the chain welded to it and the links have only 1/2" space to fit on the hook. Don't know if that will fit. Don't know what the diameter of the hook?

As Ron suggested above, I see no reason why a new style of snap-up bracket would not work just fine. No reason, as far as I know, to try to find that old style unless you just want to keep the "vintage" look.

Wouldn't the newer style with the hook instead of the slot work?

I really liked that era TT because of the windows. I like the roll outs with the cover over the front. You could open them in the rain and hang a few fun little things off of them. My
parents had a cool little wood plaque in the shape of La. with their name on it. We made several friends because of that plaque.

Nice rig! Is the rear a bunk area? When I was a kid, we had a 1977 Taurus about the same size and looked just like that.. It had quad bunks in the back.. Front dinette with an overhead bunk/storage above. Middle kitchen and bath. We had the same Eaz-Lift WD setup on it too!

Thanks!

It's a 1983 skyline Layton in fairly good condition. I've repaired some rot and there's still some more to go but it's useable.

Cool... Hey, you are right around the 'block' from me.. ๐Ÿ™‚

That looks like it might be a 'vintage' RV?? Mind sharing what it is? ๐Ÿ™‚

Yes I'm aware, those are just hanging to get the pics. Thanks

Yes, the second pic is how you snap them up.. You might need a bit more tension on them however...

You do know that once you drop the tongue on the hitch, you jack it up with the tongue jack so that you are actually lifting the back of the truck up and then set the chain link and snap it to it's locked position and then lower the tongue jack, right??
