Parking lot (Pee)ve

We have all seen various parking lot abuses, but since when have we become a third world country that allows human waste to be disposed of just about anywhere? The habit of truckers and travelers dumping their P-cans and P-bottles right outside their rigs is disgusting. Why do some rest areas and parking lots smell like a sewer? Because that is what they have become. Our dogs play in this stuff. We track it into our rigs. There are health reasons for having modern sanitary sewer systems. I wish more would use them.

I do not expect anyone to change their habit because of some Internet post, but I do hope that it makes people aware that it is not always air conditioner water that makes the pavement wet where someone just parked. What is next, complete black tank dumps? Nice.

Point was well taken. This thread won't get to the general public, but maybe educate new folks using this forum.

Someone mentioned homeless people. It's rich, poor, young and old. There are not too many stores, strip malls that don't have trash cans outside. Pretty much everyone has them at home. But it's just a lot easier to toss the trash out your car window. There is just an attitude in our society that I'm not going to inconvenience myself in anyway.

It all starts with education from very young age..

I was visiting Tokyo and in that city of 12 milion people there isnt any trash cans downtown due to fear of some terorist hiding bombs there, and yet streets are clean as are all subway trains..people simply take their trash home with them..
How do they do it

Have you ever used the outside kitchen sink at some public parks? We were campground hosts in a national park and caught a guy who just emptied his porta-potty in it. Two days later found a guy naked taking his nightly bath in one. Both were kicked out of the park and the sink was highly sanitized but still..... :(((

Yes, folks rinse out their sewer hose at the spigot and dogs pee on the your water faucet. This is why we enjoy boondocking on beautiful national forest lands away from people!

I don't think anyone is afraid of dying from it. Just that people don't want to have to clean up someone else's deposits because that someone was too lazy/thoughtless/ignorant/rude to dispose of it properly.

I worked in the clothing department of a store for several years. We had bins for undies, bras, etc. I cannot tell you how many times I had to clean them out because someone peed or poo'd in them. Won't even mention the dressing rooms.

Walking through, smelling, and seeing someone's urine puddle in a parking lot is not something I enjoy. I can jump over it, but it still smells. I can hold my nose, but I can still see it. I have spent my time around cattle manure. Cattle don't know any better. If it doesn't bother you, have a beautiful trip.

Wow..this seems really extreme. At 68 years old and spending most of those years living on farms with livestock barns and pastures, walking 4 miles a day for 21 years on rural roads and in nature parks, I can't imagine all the times I have most certainly stepped in poo or pee from God's creatures, yet, I am still alive and healthy. I guess it must be because I have never made it a habit to rub my hands on the bottom of my shoes.. nor eaten off my floors. Countless times over my lifetime I have had picnics on the ground and even carried my picnic blanket home in my car and guess what I'm still alive (as are my husband and children).

Perhaps it might be time for you to hang up the keys and stay safely tucked away in a safe sterile environment.

I agree with all that this is not the biggest problem facing the world. I also know that here in South Texas, the police are too busy with real criminals to worry about litterbugs. Unless the litter is bodies. Pee away.

Tom, not that I want my dogs walking in urine, but if you did own a dog, you'd know that it's probably the least of your worries of what dogs will do. Or how about the people who own "Fluffy the cat" who goes into it's litter box and then they let it walk around on their table and countertops. Then they invite you over to their camper for some dinner! Now THAT is gross!

My wife loves the people that leave soiled diapers in parking lots. I'll add that I've seen syringes complete with the needle laying around. I'll blame the municipalities that think it's a good idea to give the druggies all the free needles they want at taxpayer expense. Then I had the lady walking her dog in a campground that let it lift its leg and pee right on the low water spigot in the empty campsite next to me (not the pipe...the faucett opening)....carried a spray bottle of bleach after that one. Had another neighbor come out of his camper early in the morning naked as jaybird...bent over his fire pit with his backside facing me. My wife and I actually had a good laugh over that one at the time, but an elderly overweight guy bent over in front of me has caused some kind of PTSD long term, I think.

Let's see...have I complained enough now? ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜„ If I didn't, it won't matter because no one doing this stuff will change. :R

I keep my dogs on leashes and don't let them roll in unknown substances (or known gross substances). I really don't want them walking through someone's pee puddle and then tracking it into my RV.

When dealing with the public in congested places, count your blessings pee is all you have to worry about. Common sense and courtesy is a thing of the past. What grinds my chaps even more are the knuckle heads parking their little cars in the truck and trailer spots at rest stops. To lazy to walk a few more feet.

Think of the Tax Money saved by eliminating all sewer and septic systems. Yeah baby, Retro Europe construction. Back to the age of open sewers or just curb side disposal.

It worked well for Europe with all of their plaque's.
