RV Park in Prescott AZ area???

I just spent a couple days driving a rental car around the Prescott AZ area. I plan on driving out here in October to spend next winter.

I have a Truck Camper and a 12' enclosed trailer.

I'd need water, power and internet access(MiFi or WiFi). Don't need activities. Just a place to hook up and sl;eep. Will be working online and flying out of Phoenix nearly weekly.

Any recommendations for a 6 month stay?

Try parks in Chandler, Mesa, and even Queen Creek. Those places are around the corner from the East Valleys Gateway airport. Flying in and out of Gateway is a ton better if there is an airline there that will meet your needs. Sky Harbor is a big C.F. & should be avoided if at all possible.

Back to the Prescott area. Where you will be leaving an RV unattended for days at a time you could be vulnerable to things freezing up and that is no fun to come back to after a flight and a 100 mile drive. Or you could winterize every time you leave.

Couple comments. I'm going back to Ben Avery being a priority for the OP. Round trip from Queen Creek or most of the east Valley would be a 100 mile round trip.
As to Sky Harbor, I fly in and out every week. Nothing to it. Not sure why you feel it should be avoided at all costs. Guess we must agree to disagree.

If Ben Avery is going to be a weekly or more thing the AJ and Mesa places are out.
Lake pleasant is very close to Ben Avery and have FHU sites. Not sure about long term stays. If possible would be a beautiful place to stay.

I lived in Prescott for a year, it doesnt get that cold there. That said if you want to be closer to Phoenix look at Black Canyon, its away from the city.

Prescott Valley is warmer than Prescott itself. I believe the fairgrounds is closer to the valley. The RV parks are open all year so it must be doable. I know the valley just gets an occasional dusting of snow. Prescott itself is higher elevation.

Arizona - it's all about elevation.

Got friends that stay south of Lake Havasu in the same park we do in the winter. Guess where they stay the rest of the year. Yep, Prescott.

Good points about the weather. Looks like I should be comforting Phoenix - Scotsdale area. Thanks.

Any suggestions in this area? I plan on spending lots of time at Ben Avery Shooting Complex.

Suggest you use the Good Sam internet application,TL Directory, to look for smaller, older RV Parks away from Scottsdale. Many of the RV Parks within approx. 15 to 20 miles from Scottsdale have size/length/age of RV restrictions besides age restrictions and for sure camper RVs. Also you should consider your reservations now as the Ariz. winter months experience many RVers from Canada and the east coast.

I wouldn't be removing the camper. I'm 62 so age restriction wouldn't be an issue. I'll be using my motorcycle to go back and forth to the airport.

This small Tempe, AZ park might work for you. It's fairly close to the airport.

You'll find that most Phoenix area parks will be 55+ - if you fit in that category. Also, be sure to ask if you can drop your truck camper from the truck. Some parks won't let you.

There's also a park at Cordes Junction right on I-17 just north of Ben Avery. It's the Prescott area but somewhat south so it might not be as cold. This is close to the above-mentioned Quail Ridge but this one is smaller with only 22 sites so it might be more reasonable since you won't be there much.

Also look at Black Canyon City park - again along I-17 just north of Avery.

This is very close to Ben Avery but you need to call for rates. I would think it's pricey:
