What have you bought from IKEA for your RV and how well does it do what you want it to do?

We have Ikea pots and fry pan, the wooden racks to hold plates, shower mat, silverware tray and cork trivets. The closest one to us is about a 25 mile drive thru Seattle traffic so we typically go on a Sunday morning when the store opens and have breakfast at the restaurant. They have reasonable 1 lb ground coffee, and pear and apple cider in cans. For what its worth, we hit Ikea once or twice a year, and never shop at Walmart.

IMO going to IKEA is like taking a hike.

It takes too long to go look around.

X-2. - A hike is way more enjoyable. IKEA is a PITA !!

The thing I dislike about IKEA is that once you enter, you have to walk through the whole store to get out. You canโ€™t just walk in, go directly to what you want, pick something out and go directly to the checkout.

What have you got against them?

May not like the Swedes or that everything they sell has a name like a Sniffendoogin or a Gute. It's the place to go when you need a Butenhog.

Have not been to one. It's a 45 mile drive and the cost of getting there and back is more than what I could save on small items so I use Big Lots, Walmart, and other local stores.

If I need an adventure then I go to the parks locally.

Next time try out the Swedish meat balls with potatoes and the sauce, that's the one item that we definitely get, we even took 5 frozen meatball packets with us on the last trip to Mexico City, they taste as they should, our Mexican friends loved them, they also have Lingon marmelade and tubes of caviar and herring.

R SVENSK!

Bought a memory foam mattress 4 years ago and I am very pleased with it. Sure does beat the junk that came with the trailer.

Been to an IKEA once, not our cup of tea. Huge store with lots of stuff but nothing that interested us to warrant the 12 mile drive and crowded area and store. Better stores close by.

IKEA is a huge store full of household goods from Sweden. They sell a lot of stuff at fairly low prices. You wander around looking at everything like an adventure. I took my son there to get a couch/bed combo for his first apartment. As you walk around, you end up throwing things like $5 lamps in your cart. They have a restaurant hidden somewhere in the middle of the Austin store. I have not been to it, but friends seem to like it. I have not been to the new San Antonio store. Unlike Buccee's, Cabella's, or Bass Pro, there isn't enough there to keep me coming back. But, if you need something they have, it is a good place to get it.
