Stick-On LED Lights

First of all, apologies if this is not the right place. I did a quick search, and did not find any thread addressing this, and figured it was a general type question.

We have a TT, and are looking to get some of the stick-on LED lights for three of the closets. I was looking at Amazon, and there a ton of mixed reviews on all of the items. Have any of you added these? How has it worked out? What product would you suggest? Thanks ๐Ÿ™‚

We got some at the Dollar Store. Worked great. We just place them around the trailer though as needed so not sure on the sticking ability.

Use command strips or velcro to stick them up. They won't come down unless you want them to. We used them a lot dry camping. Used the $ store ones - they worked okay - one year - and you can't beat the value for the price.

Definitely use the screw rather than the sticky tape. It will save you a lot of aggravation.

Also, when comparing lights between stores and the internet, look for minor differences. The lights may look exactly the same, but one version will have a remote control or 2 levels of brightness or the light will be directional, etc. So what looks like a great deal, may be because it doesn't have the "extra" that you think it does (or, one may look to be overly priced but it has a remote control).

IMHO stick to the big box stores for those stick on led's. I got all exvited to see the price at the dollar store and bought a bunch of them.

The battery life is 'nill'. They all burned out, broke, or battery dead within a couple of weeks.
The ones' I bought at Lowe's are still working a year later.

We picked up some of those stick-on lights at the grocery store "As seen on TV". Put them up at home, between the storm door and the interior door. Our garage is not attached to the house and coming home after dark, IT'S DARK! and hard to find the key hole. (We live in country). I looked for a cheap, easy way to get a light, and decided on the "As seen on TV" stick on lights, the individual ones, and it's been there for almost a year now. Still works great. I did (or am still in the process of) remodeling our family room. When I had the walls apart and down to studs, I rewired the outside light and put a 3 way switch, so outside I now have a regular light switch for that outside light and a switch inside. Don't need the stick-on any more, but it's still hanging there. Never took it down. Actually, just this morning I tapped it to see if it still worked, and it does. It's been there for about a year now.

Go cheap .. "As seen on TV" stick-on work pretty good. ... so do the "greenies" frying pans. Forget those cell phone stick on things with the arm that affixes to your windshield. They fall off ... waste of money.

I had this issue when traveling. The back for the light will accept a screw. That solved the problem.
Got mine at Harbor Freight and they work great to light up dark closets.

I don't use the stick up tape ever. Just place them around. I screwed only one long stick type above the kitchen hallway leading to the back of the MH for if the power went out. It lights up the whole MH.

There is a FAQ in the beginning RV section.

Got a Dollar Tree in your area? LED stick on lights for $1. Not worth reading reviews and ordering online.

The FAQ section is great and is filled with lots of useful information, even for the experienced RVer.

If I am looking for ANYTHING for our RV, I look at Dollar Tree first. They will usually have something I can use and the best thing is.....
it's only $1. When the lights quit working, it is cheaper to just replace the entire thing since the battery will cost more to replace.

Thanks. And completely off topic, but what exactly does DW (and DH) mean? I understand that it is referring to significant others, but I can't for the life of me figure out what it actually means.

DW = dear wife
DH = dear husband

Go to lowes or home depot and be overwhelmed at all the choices of stick up led lights. I have them everywhere for in case of an emergency and/or when I am at no hook up CG's and get tired of hearing the gen just for lights.

They are bright, put them where you need them and when the power goes out you have the only RV in the park with lights! :B

DW bought some for the house. They worked well but the battery life seemed to be short. I couldn't find a way to replace the battery. Maybe the newer ones are better.
