A micro burst is tough. I have seen them on the water and when sailing and if a boater was not aware, things could get ugly. Dark us always tough as you can not see the cats paw like depression in the water. If the motorhome was head on or tail on then I would think no issues. Side on might flip a smaller lighter coach with lots of windage.

If anyone has first hand knowledge, I'm curious if any motorhomes, class A or C type, were overturned. I viewed all the photos I could find online and they all showed trailers only. I would think that with their heavier chassis, motorhomes would be less susceptible to strong winds than a towable.

Isn't that a FEMA trailer?

I just checked the weather history; and the highest wind gust I could find was only 31 mph - so this clearly was a downburst.

Looking for a small Class C!

The micro-burst occurred when it was too dark to assess the damage, etc.

It wasn't until after sunrise that it was determined that it was straight-line wind.

Judging by the damage, I would estimate the wind speed to be above 120MPH.

A few years ago, my trailer survived a 94+MPH micro-burst at IBSP.
My anemometer broke and display said 94MPH.

I wonder how bad the winds were. I know I've camped in 50-70 mph gusts, and what I did was face the trailer away from the wind (I couldn't face it into the wind due to towing logistics.) That minimized gusts hitting the sides that could have knocked the thing over.

It does state either possible tornado or strong winds and they don't know for sure yet
