I was told this morning that Christmas lasts till Sundown Next Sunday, so, perhaps the holidays are NOT over yet... All I know is I still have my new favorite Christmas CD in the player,, and I'm still enjoying it, though not as much this week (player is in car and I won't be driving as much this week, in fact do not plan on putting key in lock till WED at soonest), drove every day last week).

I have no connection with them other than liking their music (Irish influenced bluegrass style) but google: Trinity River Band.
Home was where I park it. but alas the.

Maybe you need different wood. Ours will do seven or eight hours on madrona, maple, or doug fir...but only three or four on

alder or willow.

x2 You Can't use poof wood in a wood stove or fireplace.! :W

Yup you have to use really good hard wood like oak. I found a downed red oak and boy does that stuff burn long and hot! Boy scout rule 3 logs is all it takes.

It was into the 70s here again today & we are getting into the exterior painting of our house in a big way. Typically there is not a noticable cooler change, the 60s, for another couple of weeks. Guess that is spring for some.

The RVing countdown presently stands at around 94 days. Plenty of time to get all of the house chores done.

I have friends that burn wood and they do much better then you. They can usually log up at bed time and sill have a warm house and a smoldering fire in the AM.

It's not so much the cold that bothers me, though that sucks too, but, it's the lack of daylight hours in the winter that get me down. I even start to get headaches.

What's worse is everybody else goes bonkers in the winter. Fights, arrests for fighting, divorces, around here all the stuff gets much worse in the winter. I stay at home where it's safe to avoid this but, I start to go stir crazy by myself all alone out here.

Oh well, tomorrow is another day. Another day of boredom that is.

"Well the Holidays are all over....."

Not for us, they aren't. It is still the Holiday Season.

Way too much emphasis is put on the commercialism of traditional holidays starting months before the holidays actually occur and by then people can't wait for them to be over and done with.
