I need some work done on my 5er. My selling dealer is long gone, as is the repair shop I have been using. I've called a couple places, a brick and mortar shop was about $100 (and booked way out), a mobile RV repair guy was $125.

I am curious what the going rate for RV repair is in your area?

The place I bought my coach is $120.00 per hour. I saw some one pay 145.00 for an oil change. I have my chassis work done at the local Ford dealer. $42.00 for an oil change...

I agree this is really area specific. The rates in my area are from about $95 to $120 per hour. Dealerships are usually over $100.

The tech rates are all well and good... BUT that is not the going hourly rate for the shop.. agree with Ol Bombero=JC

Call some rv dealers in your area, ask what their hourly rate is?

For me the RV lifestyle requires that I be able to fix things myself. If I had to pay someone $110 an hour to fix things it would no longer be sustainable to own the RV...

Not to be snotty, but you need to check rates in your area. Rates vary so much around the country, they would be of little help. FWIW, mobile tech in North Texas charged $225 to install Dometic WeatherPro 18' awning, I did the wiring.

I believe he was just curious to rates in other parts of the country, sounds like he knows the rates in his neck of the woods.
