I often see step ladders tied to RV ladders, but I never really understood why. What are you using these for?

never bought an rv without a ladder attached.

hubby got up on it this weekend in the mts. under trees. storm came thru. he broomed off water, leaves, debris from the slides and checked the roof. We always clean off the top of our slides, or at least check after each trip end before hitting the road.

ladders are good ๐Ÿ™‚

I invested in one of the folding ones that folds down to a square about 6" X 6" and is 7ft long. long and narrow fits in my pass through storage. I don't have ladder on the back to strap anything to. I decided to invest in folding ladder since the only step ladder I have at home is 6' wood ladder and that is too heavy and bulky to carry in TT. I use my ladder to clean off top of slide, have used to to hang lights and to do random chores around campsite. At barely over 5' tall, there is lots on my TT that I can't reach from ground.

Actually it's a status symbol.

Those with ladders look down on those without them.

Use mine to clean the top of my slide out. But I have also used it to reattach the awning of a friend that wouldn't listen when I told her to tie it down as the wind started to pick up. the support arms pulled right out of the top plate because the screws holding it were only 1 1/2 inches(From Factory).

Had a ladder on my 'gotta get' list for a few years. Now I go borrow one from somebody who does not mind the chore of carrying one around.

But you could have had a nice new ladder to hang off the back of your RV! :B :B :B

I like strapping it onto my ladder just above my blue portable septic tank. Adds a certain ambiance you just can't get any other way. It's also useful for window peeking.

I don't have one but can tell you when I needed one. Stopped overnight in a CG in northern Fl on way home last year. Forecast for rain / cold. Went to close roof vent and it fell off, big hole in roof. Late at night all neighbors sleeping. Did a search behind CG office ( closed ) and "borrowed" their ladder. Duct taped the vent. Now I have new vents AND vent covers! Still have no ladder with TT. Yes, I did return their ladder.

I have two collapsible ladders - one step ladder and the other a regular type. Both fit in basement storage. With my gasser Class A, I could put a regular step ladder in pass-through basement storage. Can't do that with my pusher.
There are a gazillion uses for ladders. I think I've used them all at one time or another.

A step ladder is one of those things you don't need until you need it. One of the best things I ever did was start carrying a step ladder. I'm amazed at how often I use it.
