We have a 3G StraightTalk Hotspot. Should it work in YNP & Tetons? I know cell service isn't the greatest in YNP, So I was wondering about this. Will need it occasionally.

We were there 3yrs ago. With my cellphone booster and Verizon phone I had at least 1x service over most of the park. 3g was spotty with the booster. Great service at Old Faithful. There were a few spots my cellphone booster had no signal.

We stayed at Fishing Bridge last month and coverage was spotty at best. I needed access for work. The best place I found was the restaurant near the general store and marina, good strong signal.

We just rafted the Grand Canyon, spending a week and a 187 miles without any sort of contact with the outside world. It was wonderful. My 17 year old daughter even cried when we left.
You might need cell service for your job, but I was glad to unplug for awhile.

I really like not having a signal, dont have to check in with everybody every day. Life is good!

We stayed at the Headwaters Lodge campground in Grand Teton. That is a few miles south of the southern entrance to Yellowstone. If you wanted a cell signal, you had to drive at least 10-15 miles.

That is the last good thing about Yellowstone. Kids don't walk into you while on their smart phones and actually look for cars when they cross the roads. :B

Unless it's changed in the last couple years don't count on it. We stayed in Colter Bay and went to the store/laundry to use theirs. There's no air tv or even radio stations. ATT was spotty...

It will work occasionally. No really don't depend on it. As far as I know it will only work in places like at the hotel, unless they have really beefed up the signal you really won't have one. The Tetons will give you a better shot but still will be iffy.
