12 Volt Screw In Light Bulb Say Adios...In California

If you were thinking if getting a standard 50 or 100 watt 12-volt light bulb to act as a battery equalization ampere throttle you'd better act fast. The People's Committee has decided to ban incandescent light bulbs that use the A24 base -- the standard screw in light bulb.

Cheap and rugged plus accurate, the light bulbs are more than useful for regulating the amount of amperage allowed to flow.

So head to your auto parts store and get a couple. Like with battery chargers, soon you will see CANNOT BE SHIPPED TO CALIFORNIA online restriction.

The noose cinches around the neck of everybody and everything. I need to find a used ZIL for California travel so when ZIL LANES appear on highways, I can save tine.

A denier friend of mine uses that same argument. If any prediction, by anyone, didn't come true, then all of climate science is suspect. I guess that makes some kind of sense, but not to me.

It's a global tax scheme. On top of that the last people who would believe this bs would be people like ALL of us who ride around in things that get 8 mpg and leak heat or cool air like a screen door.

Show me a person living in a extremely well insulated stick built stationary dwelling that is just big enough to sustain life who rides a bicycle, grows a garden, car pools and doesn't own snowmobiles, dirt bikes, boats, sxs, generators and I'll show you a true GW believer. I love it when I see a couple climb out of a DP wearing GW tee shirts. They probably wonder why I'm in tears laughing.

Edit: That applies to ALL not just people in DP. The person who leaves his dwelling and drives a vehicle to tent some place and creates a new bare dirt spot in the woods while sitting around burning wood in 80 degree weather is no different. Or the GW nuts who drive all the way to Alaska or something to get in air planes to look at the supposedly GW induced glacier melt. Stay home and watch in on TV. Let one person go film it then millions can be stationary and watch it. It's all insanity.

Call a light bulb a heater and it is no longer regulated.

I'm still waiting for the coming ice age they promised in the 70's. Teachers were all telling us we would be crushed by the advancing glaciers. My remedy.....chase all the tail and drink all the beer I could before it was over. ๐Ÿ™‚ Short pants, tube tops and hitchhiking chicks.

Good riddance. 100 year old technology may work but it is time to move on.

But is it just 12 volt or all incandescent?

I for one am glad incandescents are disappearing. LEDs are cheaper in the long run. I have no need to keep a light on my batteries.

I believe he has tenure......grand fathered in LOL. Speaking of which.....bad wildfires.....officially and scientifically called due to global warming by none other than Drs Goldberg and Behar on this rag of a show, which happened to be on TV while typing this. They claime that in between defending Al Franken. What a couple of nitwits. Now off to kick my TV into smithereens.
Too many geezers, self appointed moderators, experts, and disappearing posts for me. Enjoy. How many times can the same thing be rehashed over and over?

Halogen bulbs will be around for a while, much easier to find in high wattage values, so I really see no problem.

California is only 2 years ahead of the Federal EISA law that has pretty much the same effect on incandescent bulbs.

Kalifornia is like Granola, remove the nuts and all thats left are the flakes. (per SidecarFlip)

Now, that's funny, I don't care who your are, and I'm a CA native.

Think it has something to do with saltwater. The Left Coast and the Right Coast all seem to have an over abundance of flakes....

Now, up here where the freshwater is, less flakes per capita. Guess that is why everyone out west, wants our water... less salty...lol
