Looks like the pellet grills/smokers are the big rage now. I posted about the new Davey Crockett WiFi pellet stove in the cooks section.

Best of all it's somewhat portable & uses 12VDC for the electric supply!

I have the Davy Crockett for the MH and the Daniel Boone for my home outdoor kitchen. Did a lot of research and find these grills to give a very good bang for the buck.

Cook on the DB 3 or 4 times a week, year round. Have cooked everything from Pork Butt (14hrs), ribs, chicken, turkey etc, then on to assorted veggies, potatoes, baked beans, whole cabbage (great center dish on the table)etc.

Also did a blueberry cobbler. The cobbler was a winner with lots of requests to do it again.
Due to depreciation the above opinions are now worth less than what you paid for them.

We are all good at something.....
I just happen to be a good bad example.

Few things are as rewarding as apple smoked bacon and mesquite smoked elk. Smoked salmon (actually LOX) is a classic. Yummy!

I have been seeing LOTS of positive posts on the Treger grills!

Just beware, I have seen people purchase Terger grills off of Amazon, have issues & treger tells the end users that Amazon is not a Treger dealer so no warranty.

Started sniffing around for a portable & found the Davey Crockett. Like the 12VDC option!

Ya, I actually stopped at my local Pellet Guy today after i saw this post... The davey crocket is a great compact size.. a true 12V grill. I ordered one..

Sawdust compressed into pellets for stoves.

Differnt type of pellets for smoking/grilling example;

http://www.cookinpellets.com/our-premium-pellets/

When pellet stoves for heating first came out pellets where sawdust & such compressed into pellets. Now with pellet smokers you will find a wide varity of hard wood pellets.
