Dometic Overrange replacement

My 2003 Dometic convection/micro oven was fried due to an electrical issue. I want to replace it but I understand Dometic no longer makes an over the range model. My unit also controlled the RV exhaust fan so I need a unit that can manage the exhaust. Convection is not critical. Does anyone have any experience or suggestions for a replacement. Thanks all.

Far as I know Dometic never did make such an oven.. Oh they bought one from a manufacturer with their colors painted on, but they never made it.

What is the model number of it from the ID plate?

NOTE: Check that plate for a genuine Manufacturer

now google as follows

Model number.. Description Manual

IE

112371W Convection Microwave oven Manual

Odds are fairly good you will be taken to the manufacturer's web page.. Compare manual to what you have and if it matches. You have your solution.. post results.

My Dometic Microave was made by Lousy Goods (LG) and thus had to be modified in order to make it work. Thankfully that is the field I'm trained in.

You probably have a 24 inch model. If you find one being built today, I would like to get one too. Please let us know if you find one.

Our original RV microwave gave up the ghost. We took it to an appliance repair place, and they made it work again. It was a lot cheaper than replacing it.

You might give it a try.

PS - later on, DW decided that a convection micro was required, so we replaced the original one even though it worked just fine.
