I pickup a Duo-Therm roof top ac unit off a wrecked TT. It's model # is 57915.541 Prod# is 991760426. It comes with no controls on the inside panel. There is what looks like a control box attached to the inside panel. The number on that box is 3107541.009. I did not get the thermostat with it when I got it.. Here is the first of a few questions.. 1. does it also have a heat pump in it? 2. can it be hot wire on the ground to see if it works? 3. What kind of thermostat can I get to use with it? 4. It has a 110 ac hookup, I know whats that's for and how to hook them up.. It has like 14ga red and black 12 volt wires, what are they for?? It also has like 8 other wires that look like 14ga wires of diff colors. I tried to look for a wiring schematic to see what the other wire were/did and can't find any.. Can anyone please help me. Ed

It works and I understand this ac much better. Thanks Tiger4X4rv, Joe417, and Chris Bryant for your help. It helped me understand it and how it works. Now I just got to figure out a thermostat as it didn't come with one and a rv one is like $80 buck.. When I do search on Hunter install I brings me right back to this thread. Ed

That is an analog control box, so you can use many thermostats to control it (do a search here on the forum for Hunter install). In the meantime, you can twist the tan, yellow, blue, and green wires together which will give you high-cool.
I have the installation instructions for that control kit at http://bryantrv.com/docs2/docs/operating/bairducted.pdf

I found this manual that list the part number of the your control box. It may help even if it isn't identical.

You should be able to start it up on the bench but you'll need to come up with a compatible thermostat or jumper out the necessary wires.

Good luck,

Here is the manual from the manufacturers' website. It says it includes installation info.
