Generator not powering ac/tv/micro

I am driveway docking at a relatives, with marginal voltage.

Generator is starting, is not powering anything, eben when unhooked for all power. Inverter is working for micro and tv, not enough for ac though. Shore power is working except if there is any slight increase in load on the circuit load.

I have reset all circuit breakers multiple times. I have reset all gfis when show power ample.' Have received error message "ac overload" on the magnum panel, but no need to reset the inverter for inverting or shore power

Any ideas?

Mex has the right idea. Need a few answers before all the guessing will mean much.

Look in your electrical compartment. If there is an outlet in there, you MUST plug your RV's power cord into it. The generator only powers that outlet. It is up to you to plug in to it.

If no outlet in that compartment, tap your ATS lightly with the generator running to see if it will engage the generator's power.

Your air conditioning (probably) doesn't run off an inverter. When the generator is running, it produces power that should run the AC directly.

I'm guessing generator breaker tripped or bad transfer switch.

you can't use shore power and generator power at the same time

if you want to use the generator, you will have to umplug from shore power

what RV 30amp or 50amp shore power system,

do you have a power management system ?

it will shut off circuits when you are minimum shore power like a duplex recp
I can explain it to you.

UNPLUGGED

What works and what doesn't? Forget the roof air.

PLUGGED IN WITH INVERTER TURNED OFF

What works and what doesn't? Forget the roof air.

PLUGGED IN AND INVERTER SWITCHED ON

What works and what doesn't? Forget the roof air.

A "switched-off" inverter means it cannot invert or charged batteries because it is -switched off-

It won't run on Shore Power and Generator at the same time. A "transfer" is required. Some coaches have an Auto Transfer Switch that should disconnect Shore and use Generator when it "sees" generator voltage. Or, a Manual "transfer" where you plug your Shore Tie cable into a receptacle powered by the generator. Should be in the compartment your cable stores in. Have you done that?

There's a Main Breaker in the coach's interior panel. Have you checked it?

Also, the generator itself has a breaker on it. That breaker must be working to pass power to the coach. If you have ONAN Micro series, it's on the side of the control box, to the right of the Start/Stop switch. Might need mirror, flashlight, glasses, to read which way is On and which is Tripped/Off. Check it too.

Not sure what that means.

Could the OP be plugged into a 15 amp circuit with a light extension cord? Maybe the circuit is maxed out?

Have you checked the circuit breaker on the generator?

I'm not sure what that means? Are you running your generator while hooked to shore power?
