Help me with AC issue

I’m hoping someone can help lead me in the right direction. Last weekend we are at the same campground we are this weekend and her air-conditioner worked fine. We pulled in today around 230 with temperatures in the upper 80s. After hooking everything up I turned my fan on first and then turned the controller to cool. I didn’t think I heard my compressor kicki in.. After about three minutes I put my hand by the vent and it was still blowing warm air. I then turnedmy fan to auto thermostat in the off position. I then turned it to cool and nothing happened. My thermostat was set at 72. I bumped it down to 50° And the compresso kicked on and off about three times then kicked on again ran for about 15 seconds and turned off. I let it sit about five minutes then went back in andwith the thermostat still in the auto position turned it on to cool in the air-conditioner started working. After 10 minutes it popped the breaker on our 30 amp service. I reset it and it ran for another 10 minutes. Long story short, the neighbor and camper let me borrow his 50 to 30 amp cord. Plug that in and it worked fine for about 40 minutes until my camper cool down to 78° And then the air conditioner turned off. The thermostat was set at 60. I turn the thermostat as low as it would go in the air-conditioner kicked back on. I did put a thermometer where the air was blowing out in the coolest here I’ve been able to get is 52° with the inside temperature being 82. Does anybody have any ideas what will you be going on

Repairman came out this morning. Bad thermostat and also replace the control board with one that had. A hard start capacitor . $185 was the charge. I’m not going to complain about that for mobile service .

It may not be the campgrounds power system but the serving utility could be heavily loaded dragging down their voltage.
Sounds like using the fifty adapter helped a little.

Could still have low voltage.
How old is the casino campground? Many older ones just added fifty amp receptacles and did not upgrade the wiring.

Sounds like you have either low voltage +/or loose/lousy 30 amp connection. 50 amp campground connections get less usage and tend to be tighter/better -- that's why many carry a 30/50 amp connection converter.

A neighboring camper borrowed me a 50 to 30 that I plugged in. I have my air conditioner set to auto in my thermostat was set at 60. When the thermometer I was using hit 78 air-conditioner kicked off. I set the thermostat at 40 and it turned back on. I know have my air conditioner turned off and I’m waiting for maintenance to come to check my voltage. We are staying at a casino campground is full every weekend and should be prepared for this kind of traffic

The bit of good news is that as darkness falls, and temps drop, the power should stabilize.
I would ask the campground to check your pedestal or move you to another site or you are likely to have the same issue tomorrow.

I am guessing that you do not have an adapter to plug your rig into the fifty.
It would be a good perchuse.
Doubt plugging into neighbors thrity would help as he is sucking up a bunch through his fifty.

I called my RV dealer and he asked if I could check it he suspected the same hung. I have no way to check it. A neighboring site that is using the 50 amp device told me I could plug into their 30 amp
Should I try this?

Check the voltage on your pedestal. You likely have low voltage available.
