LED/TV reception

I'll try this here! I have a '11 Keystone Cougar 326 MKS, got tired of the incandescent bulbs, so I got some LED's (29 diodes per led), now when watching TV at night turn on the three pendent lights and TV goes to "no signal". How can I fix this cause I have a hard time finding my snacks in the dark??? Thanks, Dan

Well there is a slight problem.. LEDs make light different than a hot wire does, But what you do not know is Radio, Television, and visible light are all the same thing, Electromagnetic radiation. Just different frequencies (tones) is all.

Sometimes you can pop over to an electronics store, even a Radio Shack, if you know how to do electrical, or electrionic work, Pick up a couple of components

Disc Ceramic Capacitors.. I'd go with 0.1 and 0.001 uF capacity for starters

Put one of each in parallel and solder to the Socket (or LED pins) as close to the LED as possible. NOTE if soldering to the LED itself make sure you don't accidently DE-solder the LED board. (I do not recommend connecting ot the LED)

Can not guarantee but I'm talking about change back from a $5.00 bill.
Home was where I park it. but alas the.

What you pay for a lamp has little to do with how much interference you get. The extremely cheap ones without a voltage regulator will not cause the problem and might have an acceptable life span as stated in a previous post.

For those that have no problems, note that it is only when watching distant stations received on an antenna.

LED emitters to Not generate RF
Cluster assemblies with voltage regulators , to maintain a constant brightness level regardless of input voltage, generate switching "noise" from the cheap regulator

The options are either more expensive assemblies that are well filtered
Assembles with no voltage regulators
Or roll your own
I can explain it to you.
But I Can Not understand it for you !

Not saying this is your issue but I've heard some LEDs can cause these issues as some have poorly designed voltage regulators onboard. I went with flatpanel style LEDs and made sure they didn't contain a voltage regulator, that was 4 years ago and they are all still functioning well in spite of being subjected to 14.8VDC countless times from our Iota IQ4 converter.

Have heard of this problem before, but have not seen a solution yet. I have not had this type problem with y LEDs (yet) so maybe someone else can help.
