Let's talk about Lifeline Batteries

Looking to swap out the 2 group 31 deep cells for 2 new group 31 AGM's . . The name Lifeline came up, and I am looking at them....

Are they worth the extra $$$ ??? I see they also carry a 5 year warranty, that says a lot about them... Who uses them ? Would you do it again ?

There is a place near me that has a special right now , $300 ea....

OP here ,

I ordered the 2 Lifeline GPL-31XT batteries yesterday.. Said it would be about a week , and after tax ,I am just shy of $330.00 ea.

Spoke to the good folks at Lifeline, AND at Magnum were Lifeline has a great reputation.. Between all the folks on here , the guy I know at the bat store , and magnum ,nobody could state a good case why NOT to buy them other than the cost..
Looking at the cost , compared to other BETTER group 31 agm's , they are in the same price range.. or close

Thanks for all the info

Please oh please oh please

Try and find an "alternate" brand with .090" positive plates

WAIT!

Try and find any other brand that advertses their plate thicknesd. They don't do it for a reason. Has to do with having an inferiority complex.

When I want a fast charge on my 31 I apply NINETY AMPERES. Oh wait again. Can you do this with another brand? Which one?

Concorde has earned a reputation for building a special product. But maybe the OP is willing to settle for less. Like some people really don't need a one ton pickup. They'll try and tow with a half-ton. Cheaper. Looks the same

I have Fullriver AGMs only because they make a 6 volt Group 27. Fullriver are good batteries, cost less than Lifelines, and now have a seven year warranty.

I have them. Would do it again again. Life's too short to water batteries and clean corrosion.

I had two in my boat that lasted over 10 years. Great product but not that easy to get. I put two in my last MH and loved not having the mess and maintenance.

In the boat work that I did before the depression, I installed lots of AGMs. Most were LifeLine. Never a problem even years later.

Do an internet shop. I found a company that would deliver to my door for less than local. I'm not near my notes and can't remember the URL.

My 4 8D Lifeline Batteries lasted 10 years. That was great but I got a deal on them at the time at only $300 each. When it was time to replace them they were over $600 so I look for alternate options. I bought 4 AGM batteries that ARE made in China for $300. The batteries are called Universal Battery (UPG) and they are now more than 5 years old and showing no signs of age.
What I post is my 2 cents and nothing more. Please don't read anything into my post that's not there. If you disagree, that's OK.
Can't we all just get along?

Actually Lifeline is a trademark name. It is a product of Concorde Battery Corporation with manufacturing plants in California and Georgia.

A $400 temper tantrum. They are sealed and shippable by carrier, post to a ywhere in the wlrld. Probably somewhere, sometime a person lit a Rolls Royce on fire because it ran out of gas. Made in China.

"Probably made in China" HA! Looks like the guy didn't do his homework. The Lifeline battery is made in California, United States of America.

I installed some 8Ds in 2004 and just recently replaced them because of some corrosion around a couple of terminal posts. Guess what I replaced them with? Yup, more Lifelines. These are the best AGM batteries you can buy at the present time and they do stand behind their product.

Shop prices as the pricing can vary a lot. Even some of the out of state suppliers can be cheaper than a local even with shipping

My Lifelines, I have two, are 8-9 years old and I've never, ever had a moments trouble with them. Still works like they did when I bought them new. They are truly maintenance free and accepts a charge quickly. If I ever have to, I'll buy more Lifelines. Absolutely!

I've had 2 Lifeline batteries on my trailer for over 8 years with absolutely no problems - never had to even clean the terminals. These came with the trailer but I will definitely replace them with the same battery when the time comes. The only true "maintenance free" batteries I've ever owned.
