Help, please. My first time plugging the RV into the house plug ( using extension cord and dogbone) everything was great. Work just fine all weekend. Now...... everything is fine until the AC kicks for extra power, then it trips the breaker. It still works fine when we go camping (dont know if that's matters) but the Ac is no longer friends with the home outlet. Please help me get them friendly again. P.S. I am an absolute newbie with "powered" camper. I oncw had a pop-up with no electric, lol.

Is it just a 15 amp breaker that trips? Might have better luck plugging into a 20 or 30 amp outlet. Is anything else turned on that you dont need? Water heater or fridge? Try running them on propane.

Get yourself a 30amp outlet receptacle added into your home! Problem will be solved. No more extension cords anywhere you plan on staying in the future also.

I had the same head scratching moment at home with mine and it usually runs fine but started tripping the breaker. Turns out I left the water heater on. You may also want to check if anything else is on in your house on that circuit. If it's a 15A, it will need all of it just to run the AC. Anything else in your Rv or the house on that circuit that is on, will trip it if the AC is on at the same time.

I would turn everything off, water heater, fridge, converter and try running the AC alone. If it runs, then you know you're just overloading the circuit.
