Propane tank

I have 2 30 lb. tanks on my TT. One started hissing when turned on so I switched tanks and no noise. After about a week I switched back to the noisy tank and there was no noise. So a few days later I unhooked from shore power and the fridge switched to gas and the tank started hissing again. What’s with that ?

I has one that was leaking, it ended up being one of the pigtail hoses.
Replaced and has been fine for a while now.

Did you try reversing hoses on the tanks to see if noise moves to other tank?

. Could be that. It’s more of a whistling sound than a hiss.

Would the regulator not make noise on both tanks?

That's what I was thinking also.

Agree. When I run my furnace the regulator sounds like a tea kettle steaming. It only does that when the furnace is running. High volume demand when it whistles. Nothing to worry about.

Noise could be coming from the excess flow hose pigtail.
Try physically switches hoses between the tanks.

I agree. Once you locate the leak we can help diagnose the problem. Is there a smell of propane and//or your propane alarm is sounfing off? When in the least amount of doubt of a leak shut of the system entirely until it is repaired. .
