Slide Out Seal Failure??

I was prepping my 2012 Amerilite 255BH for our annual fall trip when I ran the slide out and noticed the slide out seal was curled up on the ends and not down on the slide out roof. Is this an indication of the seal needing to be replaced or just rubber seal memory and it will sit down on the roof after a short period with the slide open? the trailer is one month from end of warranty so if it is a failure I need to get it back to the dealer ASAP.

The rubber wiper that wipes the roof of the slide as it goes in and out is the seal I am speaking of. The way I see it if it is laying with its wiping edge down on the roof of the slide it along with the side wipers prevents rain water from running back into the inside of the coaches outer wall where it could potentially encounter the wooden structure or inside coach floor and cause damage. I am aware of the weather seal on the inside of the slide out flange that seals against the inside of the slide out opening as well as the rubber bead seal that seals the outside of the slide out when the slide is closed they are not effected but I view both the wiper seal and the inside flange seal as a system that work together to prevent leaks when the slide is out/open. My dealer is about 110 miles away so I have emailed them a photo and am awaiting their reply.

My slide out has seals AND WIPERS.

Wipers are wide flat flaps that rub against slide out sides and top and WIPE moisture/debris off slide when going in/out.

Is that what you are talking about :H

Seals are on inside of slide frame....seal against inside wall when open and on outside of RV where slide out frame seals against when closed
Is it time for your medication or mine?

Yeah that's kinda what I thought. it sort of looks as if the seal got folded over the last time the slide was brought in instead of fliping over to ride flat on the roof and now that the slide is out the rubber seal seems to be retaining the memory of being folded over so the edge that normally sits on the slide roof is curled upward and the seal isn't sitting down tight against the slide roof. If you think of a windshield wiper how when it travels the wiping edge goes with the windshield I don't know if that made it any clearer or not. I'd post a pic but don't know how or even if possible on this forum. The center of the seal seems normal only the ends are effected

Not being able to see what you are describing I would take very detailed pictures and stop by dealer. Show them the pictures, document that you have brought up the issue.

OR take RV by Dealer and show them.
