We have the Splendide 2000 and lately it has been taking forever to dry small loads. I checked the manual and cleaned the pump pre-chamber, but it didn't seem to help. Any ideas?

I'm also thinking that lint has stopped your air flow. I pulled my unit out, opened up the back to access the air flow hose on the back and found it almost completely stopped up with lint. The hose that I refer to has a large opening 3/4 inches where it is clamped onto the back of the unit. At this opening is where I found my blockage.

If you can access the back of you unit, check the exhaust hose. On most install they uncrate the unit. Hook one end to the back and the other to the vent without any concern of proper length. Mine had exactly the same symptoms. Pull the hose and there was a grapefruit size wad of wet lint. Then take a flash light and shine it in the back of the unit as someone looks and rotates the drum to make certain light is visible each time the hole pass the exhaust.

There is a filter in the top back corner of the unit that traps lint and if it gets clogged you will not have enough air flow for the dry cycle. I removed this filter as I don't care if lint gets blown outside. I have a straight exhaust with an outside cover that just sends the air downward. Even so, this can get clogged on rare occasions. I am able to unscrew this cover and remove the lint and assemble again. Takes about 2 minutes.

Feel the door on the dryer, if it is warm then more then likely your exhaust is plugged. My Splendide uses cold water to dry, so I can't help on yours, but I'm guessing you'll have to pull the unit and disconnect the hose at the unit to see what you have to work with.

As someone else said call the company, they will have the correct answer for you.

My Splendide quit drying. . . it still worked and tumbled but no heat. Required a new board which was an expensive fix, but that was a couple years ago and it's still working fine.

My Splendide as a filter on the back of the unit. It does get dirty so it it cleaned. Just look at your setup and see where things might get clogged up. Sometimes you have to take things into your own hands to solve a problem.
