Water heater

I have a 2014 wild wood 26 ft travel trailer and I'm trying to figure out how to adjust the hot water heater. The water is warm at the best. I checked the valves and the cold water valve is closed. Is there a manual adjustment or do I need to buy something? Thanks for any help

OK!!!

Did you find out which water heater and water pump you have?

How many valves on water heater......just two?
Is it time for your medication or mine?

Thanks for all the replies I checked the relief valve outside and that water is hot!! It has to be mixing somewhere I've just to find it . I'm going to re check the valves at the tank and make sure they are fully closed

He checked that already.

He also stated " I checked the valves and the cold water valve is closed."

We really need

Make and Model of Water Heater

Power Source being Used (LPG or 120VAC)

We have Suburban now and temp is not adjustable on LPG or 120VAC

We had an Atwood with standing pilot (not electronic ignition) and temp WAS adjustable on LPG. But NOT adjustable on 120VAC.

Add Bypass, Pentair, Shower Valves Open... Too many variables to troubleshoot right now. What kind of Water Heater and are you on Gas or Electric?

Probably have a SHURFLO RV Pump which is a part of the Pentair Inc.
BYPASS Pump would mean a 4008 Revolution (Internal bypass type pump)

You need to check the valving on your water heater (backside of tank)
Cold water inlet (bottom) OPEN
Hot water outlet (top) OPEN -----if you have a valve and not just a 'check valve' in nipple on tank
BYPASS valve (connects cold to hot) CLOSED

Verify that water heater is full of water (pop open T&P Relief Valve CAUTION: IF water has been heated it will be scalding hot)

With water supply ON
Open faucet closest to water heater....hot side
Does it run hot water, warm water and then goes cold? BYPASS VALVE is leaking thru OR is Open (cold water is mixing with hot water)

Look inside cabinet/drawer for a 'info sheet' that lists items in trailer.
Which Brand/Model of water heater.....Suburban (SW6A-7E etc) or Atwood G6AA-7E etc) OR look in water heater outside compartment for info)?????

Faulty t-stats either mean COLD water cause they aren't working OR VERY HOT water cause they didn't shut down

WARM water is cause of cold/hot mixing
Is it time for your medication or mine?

There is no real adjustment for water temperature.
Do you have a winterizing bypass valve? If so make sure it is closed. Make sure it is closed tight. Make sure the cold water line entering the water heater is open.
What is a Pentair bypass pump? Not sure what function that would have in RV.

I have an old attwood, I believe suburban are similar,
but they come with a set temperature thermostat. Like 140 deg
on mine. I did come across some literature mentioning
that you can purchase one that is adjustable so you can make it
hotter if you want.

Or maybe your thermostat is mis functioning. Not sure of their
failure modes, but maybe its set temperature has dropped.

Get a thermometer and check water temp.

I have a pentair by pass pump. I also have a pressure regulator on the hose outside. I don't have any outside showers. The winterizing valve is closed too. I'm not sure where to go next

As said, make sure your outside and inside showers are shut off at the faucets, not just at the shower head. Also make sure the winterizing bypass valve is closed.
