Note from moderator,
Please keep pics to a max 640 width as a favor to those with smaller screens and dial up. "IF" you can not figure out how to make the pics smaller, post them, PM me or hit 'notify moderator' button, say you can not resize pics, and I aka blt2ski/Marty will go in and edit/fix.
Enjoy everyones pics

Those are your summer tires? What do your "winter" tires look like?!

Put on some new Summer tires on my truck, i'm extremely happy with the way it looks and handles.

Besides, if it had the older 5 speed trans/6 speed trans, that trans dogged the Hemi performance with it's poor ratios.

In fact, the 5 speed/6 speed is more of a 4 speed since there is only 5 gears available in "Auto" mode and 2 of them are overdrives. It's essentially is like a GM 4 speed auto trans with an additional super low ratio overdrive gear. Now add that highway geared axle of 3.55 and you have a low torque multiplication factor next to that new GM that has a high torque multiplication factor.

That newer GM essentially has the same power output, HP and torque, as my 5.0 4V DOHC engine and it's transmission is geared almost identical. Plus he's got the same 3.73 axle gearing I have. I know the great torque he talking about, I feel it everyday. ๐Ÿ™‚

There is the difference. My ram 1500 had a 3.92 rear end and it Wood haul buggy. I now have the Cummins and boy will it haul as well. Enjoy your truck

The Ram was a 3.55 and this is a 3.73, which is part of the reason I'm pretty confident it won't be an issue. The difference in final drive should make the power difference of the stock motors negligible for towing purposes.

Just picked up my 2014 Silverado 1500 LT w/ the Max Trailering package earlier this week. It is more or less loaded, minus the buckets and nav, which I didn't want. Also, in order to get leather I would have had to get the next model up that would have forced me into buckets and nav... It is much more quiet on the road than the Ram, and because of the torque curve being more generous at the bottom end, the Chev 5.3 feels pretty much just as strong off the line as the Dodge 5.7. It has the 3.73 rear end as well so I'm prertty confident it'll pull my rig pretty easily. Can't wait to get out to tow!

Nice truck but I doubt it is nearly as quick or pulls as hard as a 5.7 with the same rear end. Like I said nice truck though.

Thanks Mike. We selected the truck and trailer combo before we bought either one. Just my wife and I so we really didn't need a larger trailer. The truck is the best of both worlds, it pulls the trailer well and gets an honest 18/27 mpg without the trailer. The trailer is 21.5' and 3800# dry. Winnebago builds a very high quality unit and it is loaded with the good stuff.
