What did you do to your truck today?

I love cruising through the "what did you do to your camper today" thread, I figured I'd add a "what did you do to your truck today".

I'm sure that many of you are like me....and your truck that you use to haul your camper gets a lot of special attention to make sure it's in tip-top shape for your adventures.

I'll start out.....

Today I mounted 2 PIAA 520 Fog lights and 2 PIAA Driving lights to my winch bumper, and aimed them.

This evening, I received a box containing torklift stableload bumpstops. Those will have to wait for another day....we've got a blizzard going on here.

As far as the AMP boards a friend put a set on his 04 Dodge in 04. Still has it and the AMPs have never malfunctioned. These new ones are pretty neat.
Go clear up under the truck out of sight. I had fallen with the old chrome tubes several times in the rain. You'd have to be really drunk to fall off these guys!!

My dad had the amp steps on his truck. Had some issues with his, old motor design, I think they are 10+ years old. When they work they are awesome.

After his experience, I just put plain old tube side steps for my kids. They don't look cool but whatever.

Just did brakes and coolant flush. Trans service next and replace my valve body (85k). The early one are know to fail within 80-100k so I'm getting ahead of it. Saving my lunch money for a fully built Revmax 550....

Still debating on my 2" level kit sitting in my garage. Tires rub slightly on inner fenders, annoying. But...if I do that I'm doing a full redhead steering box, brace and rebuilding my front end. It's getting close to due and after going through death wobble in the past...not doing it with the TC and towing.

He's just jealous! Amp steps are super functional and make entry and exit a breeze (they go down and out). I love mine!

I am jeolous! We have a set on order, should be here Friday. Margarets having a hard time with the 27" hike. Last trip out she tweaked her back (again) leaping out before I could get around and set the folding stool. 'nough of that and ordered. Looking forward to the install, read nothing but good about the kits. Sounds like a torklift co. for running boards ๐Ÿ™‚

Just buttoned up some 'cosmetic' upgrades to the truck. Replaced the leaking yellowed '01 headlight assemblies with 1 piece 05/07 lights.

Also changed out the mirrors to later 05 lighted ones

What can I say, LEDS...

Great blazin' lights

Fun stuff- recently replaced both front hubs/uni bearings and brakes not so fun.
But looking forward to the running boards-its all mute if the co-pilot missing

Washed the rig. I usually wash and wax it in Oct when I'm done for the year. Due to circumstances it did not get done. 10K miles and nearly a years worth of bugs it was a job. Washed it with a brush the hit it by hand. Now to wax it.

Replacing a perfectly, non-functioning, EGR cooler with a perfectly, functioning cooler. In 2014, CA decided to start requiring the smog shops to test for emissions sensor readiness. No more visual inspection only tests. I knew this day would come.

Oh, the joy.

This clamp, I fought with this SOB for almost 2 hours even though I anti-seized it last time I had it apart and liquid wrenched it the night before.

Just to add: I would take Appleby's "big" brake job over this mess any day.
