What did you do to your truck today?

I love cruising through the "what did you do to your camper today" thread, I figured I'd add a "what did you do to your truck today".

I'm sure that many of you are like me....and your truck that you use to haul your camper gets a lot of special attention to make sure it's in tip-top shape for your adventures.

I'll start out.....

Today I mounted 2 PIAA 520 Fog lights and 2 PIAA Driving lights to my winch bumper, and aimed them.

This evening, I received a box containing torklift stableload bumpstops. Those will have to wait for another day....we've got a blizzard going on here.

Added Supersprings to my 2016 F250 CCSB SRW. The driver side one doesn't line up with the lower bump stop causing it to squish forward so I'm trying to figure out what to do.

Added Timbren rear springs, P/N FRTT350J, to my 2017 F-350 DRW. I think almost everything I need to do, including trimming the trees alongside my driveway, is done and ready to go pick up my truck camper next week.

Before we went out west in June I put on Power Stop Brakes all around.

I don't notice a huge difference on the flats or around town (although it is better than stock) but in the mountains the difference is amazing. I'd buy them again.

I put those on my BMW; I like them alot. Thought about putting them on my truck, too.

Made up a 10' umbilical cord, and cut two 4' x 6' horse stall mats with a sawzall to fit around the wheel wells and hang slightly over the back of the bed floor. Now the last thing left to do before heading out to pick up my truck camper is to install Timbren rear springs, which are supposed to arrive Friday.

Bought a bolt/nut/washers for my exhaust pipe. I should have put threadlocker or a weld bead on the hanger bolt ... I guess. I will reinstall the bolt, but it will be later.

In case you wondered, the previous owner, added a B&W hitch fiver hitch and used the drop down bracket which I hated The tail pipe was seriously low. So, I'm putting the hanger back to stock. No, I don't have a fiver, but it will probably be in my future plan.

Did a brake job on my truck yesterday. Bought OEM ceramics from the line and visited the local auto parts store for everything else - all new rotors and calipers. It was an expensive day from a materials standpoint, but the labor was free.

Installed the driver side tie-down today. After learning from my experience yesterday I super glued the spacers (which Torklift should tack weld rather than making you fight with them loose) onto the bracket, and got it done in about a third the time as yesterday. Tomorrow will be assembling my wiring harness and cutting my horse stall mats to size and shape for the bed floor and then I'll be ready to go!

Installed Torklift frame mount tie downs for my soon-to-be truck camper. Got the rears done in under a half hour, then the fronts were a real pain the a$$ fishing bolts and washers through the frame and trying to line up three planes simultaneously that I only got the passenger side done. Driver side will be tomorrow, then the truck will be ready to go.

I have an appointment on Tuesday at Brondes in Toledo for my 350. It has a recall on it that I need addressed. Told them it's coming in with the TC in the bed. I'll be sure the door is locked. No point in leaving it unlocked and having a mechanic take their lunch break inside.....lol

It would be a lot cheaper to pull them and have them bench tested for leak down and spray pattern and then replace / rebuilt the bad ones. Usually it's only one or a couple injectors that are at fault. Any competent diesel shop with an injector bench can do it a lot cheaper than new (reman) injectors.

Problem with a dura-max, besides a touchy pump (fuel filters must be changed on time, every time is, a bad injector can wash a cylinder pretty easily.

I was out of state for work for most of the month, but I finally made it home and spent two days replacing the injectors. I actually bought brand new ones from Merchant Automotive, so I get to keep the ones I removed. I am thinking about taking them to someone to have them cleaned/rebuilt so I can recoup some of my money should I decide to sell them.
