What did you do to your truck today?

I love cruising through the "what did you do to your camper today" thread, I figured I'd add a "what did you do to your truck today".

I'm sure that many of you are like me....and your truck that you use to haul your camper gets a lot of special attention to make sure it's in tip-top shape for your adventures.

I'll start out.....

Today I mounted 2 PIAA 520 Fog lights and 2 PIAA Driving lights to my winch bumper, and aimed them.

This evening, I received a box containing torklift stableload bumpstops. Those will have to wait for another day....we've got a blizzard going on here.

Added ROKU bluetooth home theater speakers for that IMAX experience.

I used the RV.NET photo uploader here but pictures don't display.

You can see them and read about them on the Truck Camper Adventure Magazine Forum. Funny thing is that I used the RV.NET uploader to post the photos there with no issues.

Gettin Red ready for the trip back to socal I had a "noise" when idling. Turned out to be a bad bearing on the tensioner pulley. Had to order the whole assembly cause the bolt that holds it is frozen solid, it's the original that's 30 years old and the bolt is steel and the assembly is aluminum. The whole thing was only $20.00 more than the new pulley and I'll mess with it when I get home and have more tools and time.

We were leaving tomorrow, but that has been pushed to Saturday now...lol. The joys of a 30 year old truck.

Wasnโ€™t today, but before the last time out. Finally, got the backup camera back working. Did an oops a couple of years ago and pulled the harness out when I forgot to unplug it. Not that much work, just getting the harness working again with the tailgate camera and then just plugging the CameraSource camera in after loading the TC.

Also checked all of my lights on the TC. ๐Ÿ˜„ Well, the person who stopped next to me insisted they didnโ€™t work. They were all normal when I stopped to check them. Must have seen me slow down hitting the tow/haul and thought my brake lights were out, but hard to say.

Changed the oil/filter/plugs/cap/rotor, and went to a 180* Tstat. She goes in Tuesday for rear brakes, alignment, trans service, and AC service before the 1,100+ mile trip to Oregon

I just washed mine today. Still had road salt on it from our camper pickup journey. Spent plenty of time washing underneath. They don't salt around here, so it's unusual for any of my vehicles to see salty roads.

Really like it, truck looks like its only 15 years old now.

Just need the 08 mirrors. Then, it'll only look 11 years old.

My '97 has been sleeping in the garage since November other than firing it up every month and warming the engine. Sleeping on a battery tender like it does every winter up here in Michigan. Before I put it away last fall, changed the oil, anti-freeze, transmission oil, checked the diff's and added a coolant filter.... and a jug of Nano-Borate in the oil too. Love that stuff. Certainly makes the HUEI engine purr.

TC is sitting right next to the truck in the garage. Sleeping as well. Soon to be awakened. Spring is coming soon.
