After posting a few comments on another thread, I decided to start this one under a topic more easily recognized. I also have started a blog at: http://www.tcreviver.com. Okay, MKish, here it is. I'll post to it whenever I get a chance. -Carey

Decided to cover the plastic on the snap n nap with heavy duty "marine grade" vinyl. Let's hope I made a good decision.

When I worked on my snap n nap years ago I took the side panels apart and I glued in some of the pink foam board that I cut to fit. It reinforced the panels and I noticed it stayed warmer back there when the snap n nap was opened.

I am curious to see how your vinyl covering works because I would like to hide the cracks in my panels.

Hey Erich, a little off topic, but I was looking at your photo in your signature, are you still running the 16.5x12.00 Load Range G 14 ply tires on the rear of your camper special?

Old "pop-out" plastic walls on the snap n nap.

speaking of camper logos. Here is the newest for when she is complete.

I have a raised logo on the front up under the panoramic window, but these logos were on each side (towards the front) and one on the back of the snap n nap. Do you think these logos could narrow down what year I have? I was thinking it is older than a 73 but not as old as a 76? who knows?

That is the first time I have seen Amerigo decals.
I have a 1971 and have a raised plastic logo.
I believe the original colors were blue.

Couldn't wait to post. Opened up the drivers side of the ol amerigo. (behind the bathroom) Not one ounce of water or rot. You know what that means? Don't have to take out the damn bathroom. oh thanks god.

I think I found a graphic designs company to re-create these amerigo decals for me. Simple/single inking so the cost was only 50 bucks for 3 decals... What did everyone else do?

Entrance side of the rebuild is complete...including the 13 foot long 2-6 support beam. Here is a pick of the "newly" supported over the cab bed. Tomorrow we rip open the drivers side of the camper.

27 degrees. FREEZING but the main beam is going in.
November 5, 2013

Right โ€œmainโ€ beam is going back in today. Timโ€™s fiberglass patches on the roof were completely successful. At 27 degrees, I really hope we can get the wood โ€œframingโ€ done before the first BIG snow hits. Wish I had a pic to post, but then again that would mean finding fresh batteries for the camera. And the boys (I am sure) have already used up all the good batteries in the house playing their X Box. Oh well I will just post thisโ€ฆ ( my chicken)

All joking asideโ€ฆ oh maybe one more.

Time to get to workโ€ฆ but first canโ€™t help but think that as the general driving public passes by our girlโ€™s new home on Wendel Road, they are probably thinkingโ€ฆ

Clark: โ€œSo, when did you get the tenament on wheels?โ€ Eddie: โ€œOh, that uh, that thereโ€™s an RV. Yeah, yeah, I borrowed it off a buddy of mine. He took my house, I took the RV. Itโ€™s a good looking vehicle, ainโ€™t it?โ€ Clark: โ€œYeah, it looks so nice parked in the driveway.โ€ Eddie: โ€œYeah, it sure does. But, donโ€™t you go falling in love with it now, because, weโ€™re taking it with us when we leave here next month.โ€

Bootie Call

Come on, maybe calling the front the SS Enterprise is a stretch, but the Garbage Truck Rump is no exaggeration. Not quite a big as my own behind.

Sorry... Usually I am a bit more attune to computer/tech issues. I have been so busy with this camper build and working full time plus taking care of our 6 children, I have been too lazy to to figure out why it doesn't come up. Let's try this. Here is the entire http...

Let me know if this works. If not, I will have to figure it out.

I read on another forum a guy made the generic fridge vent work on his amerigo with minor modification. The vent at my local supplier looks pretty close to OEM. Does anybody use indoor storage during winter?

Thanks...

I will definitely use indoor storage from now on. I already had a 30 foot Terry TT (only 6 years old) split across the front from water leakage and then subsequently the entire floor rotted out. Although it doesn't take much for a luan and foam floor to get decimated. it was the biggest POS I ever bought. Anyways, around here we can park our camper in climate control in underground limestone caves/quarries. About 400 for the winter.

Is your camper floor supported or is it sitting on jacks ?

Sorry so late.

It is supported. 2 4X4's one front one rear. Jacks are off right now. I have the problem on or off the truck
