Looking at buying a Glacier Peak 5th wheel with maximum weight capacity of 11,000 pounds. We figure it might be a little on the heavy side. If anyone has this setup of truck and this weight of 5th wheel and has any suggestions/opinions, please let us know. This truck only has 25,000 miles on it - like new and is paid for. Do not want to change trucks. Don't know if changing gearing to 410 would help that much or not - any opinions ? Thank you in advance for any answers.
Go for it. I think the 6.0L/6-spd/3.73 is underrated.

I pull about 10k with mine, no issues on power or overloading.... I see no problem with it, any gasser 3/4 ton pulling that wieght should not have an issue. I did run across a guy with the Ford 6.2 this last week end and he was pulling around 10k as well. He had no complaints either.
A truck, a camper, a few toys, but most importantly a wonderful family.
There's only 2 that have the 11,000GVW. One is 8400 and the other is 8450lbs dry. One has a 1440 and the other has a 1600lb pin. I doubt you would be over 10,500lb loaded with either. Seems like a great match for your 3/4 gasser.
