7000 pounds dry TT is pushing the limits for the most capable half ton, of which you do not own.

Confirm you have the HD towing package, recevier, 7-pin wiring harness. Also verify your axle code/ratio on the driver's door jam is 3.55. If so, then 6k dry is a fairly good comfortable limit for most half tons including yours.

No, he doesn't have the Max Tow or HD Payload package as his tow capacity is only 7500# and MaxTow is not avail with the 5L V8 and HD payload is as rare as hen's teeth. My guess is his GVWR is 7350# and GCWR is 13500#. And his max possible payload would be 1570# but yellow sticker will be less 'cause of factory options.

You need to post all the specs on your F150 to really know where you stand. Remaining payload is the very first thing you need to look at and youโ€™d need to weigh the TV to know that. If the TT doesnโ€™t exceed any ratings it will pull it. I donโ€™t have any experience with that much weight, but from reading these posts for a long time my feeling is you will looking for a bigger TV in a short time. The flats may be OK, but any grades will not be a fun experience.

Rear gears do make a difference for towing as it shows in the tow guide. If Ford thought you could tow 11,000lbs with 3.15's then it would say that. IMO the issue is overall performance. Starting out would be sluggish compared to 3.73's, Keeping the load moving would also put a strain on the drive train. Less overall responsiveness with the 3.15's. Sure you could tow in 4th and more than likely it would be like 5th or 6th with 3.73's. But stomp on the gas and it won't have the same snappy feeling as 3.73's in a higher gear.

IMO the biggest set back will be trying to get that 6900lbs moving if you're on any kind of incline. If you're starting out on a hill and have to get up to 55-60mph it will take a lot of grunt to get all that moving with 3.15's.

Yea it says 7500....

That's probably a 3.55 rear end then, if you have the 4x4 SCrew 5L with 7500# tow capacity. AFAIK, the 3.15 rear end is only avail with the Ecoboost.

Is that #6900 the trailers 'dry weight'? If so, that's going to be quite the load when you start putting stuff in it.

The 'tow rating' of the truck also assumes no other passengers or cargo. It also assumes you don't exceed any of the trucks other gross weight ratings.

Didn't know they had a 3.15 gear ratio, but I've not kept up with it all either..

It seems with the new 6 speeds. the rear gear does not mean as much any more, as one of the lower gears will turn the correct RPM, and deliver the power needed.

I wouldn't do it, won't be fun which is what RVing is all about. You will be over the 7500 loaded up. Also with those gears it won't be fun pulling any hills. I wouldn't recommend anything over 5500lbs dry weight with your truck.

Yea it says 7500. Does this include the hitch ,people in the truck and what's in the bed or just what's in the trailer?

If you check your owner's manuel you will have the engine size and rear end size with towing capabilities. I tow a 6100# travel trailer with my ecoboost F 150 and tow package and still have room to grow if I wanted to.
