2015 Ford Expedition

Purchased a Platinum for my better half and all I can say is how impressed I am with the power that little 3.5 V-6 Ecoboost puts out. Does anyone on here tow a travel trailer with one? I can see us towing a boat or a trailer of toys but not an RV, I have my F-350 for that. It's more of a curiosity question because I can envision the Expedition doing well in regards to power.

YTD, the nicest rental car that I have used was a brand new Expedition EL with the EB. Drove it from Little Rock to Fort Smith Arkansas and back. Nice ride, lots of power. 17 MPG round trip.

I wish they had a larger payload in the Expedition EL. A "heavy-half" version of en Expedition EL with EB would be a good replacement for my Suburban 2500 that has power but very thirsty (and 226,000 miles).

I dono. In F150 trim with the EB 3.5, for the 2015 model year the range is 2010-3270 lbs.
Seems plenty to me.

I wish Ford had it in 2012 model year! Enjoy your new Expy.

It is now the only engine available in the Expedition and Lincoln Navigator, and I have seen nothing but positive comments about it in those vehicles.

Yep, I have an Ecoboost (F150, not Expy, but same powertrain) and love the way it tows our travel trailer. Very impressive 1/2 ton engine, to say the least.
