Bryan is spot on...it is chemistry/laws of physics at work here

Add that is the main 'why' of the overflow bottle now being pressurized.

Using all of the kits out there creates yet, another O2 intrusion into the coolant system...that...works it dirty work over time. Sure, dependent on how much O2 gets in there...plus how much of the acid is left over from the etching/plating (acid etch's and the organic coats a protective layer)

Just leave it alone and 'check' via the translucent overflow bottle...there should be lines indicating 'max' and 'min' coolant levels

No you didn't because the link I provided is for all cummins engines.


You could if you want but completely un needed. But please post a link from an owners manual that states antifreeze testing is needed on an 6.7.

So a thread asking about a drain plug on the rad of a Ford 6.2 gas turns into a discussion about testing antifreeze in a Cummins 6.7?

Yes it does.... It's located on the drivers side.

Now that's interesting. A hidden drain petcock. I'll check out mine to see if it has one, the one on the video seems to be the 2011 1/2.

I would be really surprised if the radiator didn't have a drain plug. I do agree with theoldwizard that a 2017 truck should need a radiator fluid change. I changed mine on my '12 Power Stroke at ~100k miles. Currently have 153k miles and still have original water pump. The OAT fluid Ford installs is some high quality stuff.
