I while back I posted about the prototype Grand Wagoneer that looked production ready. Well here's the production version and looks like not much has changed. Top of the line model goes from $86k - $103k big ones and has a 6.4L engine.

Here's a lower grade model which I think I prefer.

I would wonder if they ever fixed the camshaft and lifter problems in the hemi engines. Until that is definitely fixed, I wouldn't touch one with a $111,000 pole.

Fixed in 2016 engines.

They did?

Here's a video from Mr Mopar himself on the topic. Link

Both are very close in price. Choose what makes you happy.

I wasnโ€™t referring to the Hummer with wheels.....lol

Interesting that Chrysler chose the Jeep brand for their new full size SUV platform rather than making it a Ram or Dodge product. Beautiful truck, way too expensive for my blood, and I bet they sell every one. My only gripe would be the rotary selector, but that's a small thing to gripe about.

I think they choose the Jeep brand because they can mark them up more and increase their margins. Plus the Jeep Grand Wagoneer that I remember with the wood grain side panels were a bit more higher class than the Chevy Suburban. Having said that I'm not sure what's in the deck of cards for the future of Dodge.

It's about time they introduce these to the market. They should have done it twenty years ago.

I think the ship has sailed and sales will be disappointing. Wasn't the old Durango marketed as "just as good as a Tahoe?"

Front end resembles a BMW X5/6/7 and the rear roof line resembles a Rivian R1S.

For the price, I honestly would take a Rivian R1S.

Eager to see them in person. Disappointed there isnโ€™t a long wheel base option. Also hoped they would put the EcoDiesel in it.

Depending on how much smaller than the Expedition MAX it really is, I could see one making its way into my garage. It would make a good boat puller.

This is interesting though...

"The Wagoneer is powered by a 4.7-liter V8 that puts out 392 horsepower and 404 lb-ft of torque, while the Grand Wagoneer comes equipped with a 6.4-liter V8 that generates 471 horsepower and 455 lb-ft of torque, according to Jeep. They're capable of towing up to 10,000 lbs."

New engine? High strung 4.7 NA V8 coming out?

That thing is an Escalade/Denali killer!
Beautiful rig....$100k? GULP...
Guess Stellantis thinks they can steal enough high end GM/Ford SUV buyers to make this worthwhile.
And perhaps the discussion about HD suvs IS that everyone wants a light duty suv.
IMO, which isn't worth much, this would be much more impressive if they built a HD version instead on a 2500 chassis.
