We bought our '13 model in Oct of 12 and have used it and enjoyed it to no end.
Have had very little trouble with it, towed it with our 1/2 ton but found that it was a little to much trailer for the short wheel base so went to a Pro-Pride hitch, problem solved.

We love the trailer, floor plan and handling. The one thing that is slightly inconvenient is that when the slide is in you can't get from the living area to the bath/bed area from inside. But I guess that is why it has 2 doors ๐Ÿ™‚ We had heard a lot about rear kitchen problems and rough riding but the worst we have experienced is the falling over of the wine glasses in the cupboard.

Ours has the "Moorride" suspension and they say that helps with the smoother ride, seems to work. The unit needs lots of upgrades and mods, like all units do, to make it more user friendly and comfortable. Things like shelving in the cupboards, hangers and hooks, cupboard doors under the bed, slide out drawers under the dinette seats, etc. But like I said, they all need those things added.

All in all we couldn't be happier, but then it is only our second travel trailer so what do we know?

We looked closely at this model but ended buying an Outdoors RV Timber Ridge 240RKS instead. Similar floor plan (but we prefer the open shower/bedroom idea), tank sizes and (available) dual pane windows, 8cuft frig, big tires.

What we didn't like was the Cougar's "hung" front and rear fibreglass panels, IOW not laminated and no front cap. The Timber Ridge is probably more expensive, heavier with heavier axles, shocks, more roof insulation, and some other improvements. Maybe better quality construction? Think the Western Cougar's are made in Oregon like Outdoors RV.

After a year, we still love the floorplan (and trailer).

Very, very nice! I'm one who loves the rear kitchen and yet to have one. We've always had Rockwood, so no help here on Keystone Cougar other than there seems to be a ton on them on the interstates. Enjoy!

That was the model I wanted when we started looking for a new trailer last year. The kitchen area was amazing for a unit that size. Loads of counter space, which had me sold. However, we ended up with a 25RLSWE, which was the one my husband fell in love with. He wanted that big back window. The slide area is bigger in the 25, but the kitchen doesn't come anywhere close for space and usability.

Just make sure you don't get one with that awful collapsible dining table! Some engineers should have been fired for coming up with that idea.

I have a 244EFS I like mine. Honestly there is always something wrong with something or Nothing wrong with anything but in all instances your always thinking about fixing something or adding something it's just the nature of our hobby. I like my Cougar it's a lot of fun to mess with. Easy to tow seems to be made well. I am sure there are those out their that hate them. So at any rate to answer you question I like mine just fine. I think the only difference between yours and mine is that yours has a rear kitchen. Again some folks love rear kitchens some folks hate them.
