33gal freshwater, about how long will it last?

As we prep for our first trip (just a weekend, we're beginners), can anyone give an estimate for how long 33gal will last? wife and I, and 2 dogs. 2days? 3days? obviously depends on how much we use, but a rough estimate would be appreciated

Some could make it last 2 or 3 days, others can go through it with one shower.
Do you take military showers?
Do you let the water run when brushing your teeth?
Do you let the water run when you wash your hands?
Do you let the water run when you do dishes?
Do you use the campground showers?
Do you use the campground bathroom?

You get the idea lots of variables.

a long time if you learn to conserve, don,t let the faucet run if your not using it.

Well good luck with that :R ... I'll stick to my original assessment that it's impossible say as it all depends on your particular usage. I carry four 7 gal Aquatainers for collecting fresh water and typically make that run each day in order to keep the 30 gal on our trailer supplied ... but as you can see from other replies some would be able to get by for many more days without having to refresh the tank. As has been suggested make sure you have a method in place that will allow you to easily retrieve more water and get it into the trailer's FW tank.

Bring a five gal water tote with you on the trip. When you run out, you'll know your usage and have some fresh water for back up. If you don't plan to move for the rest of your stay, you can replenish with more 5 gallon additions.

With our previous camper, about three days. That factored in 4-5 "navy showers" and dish washing. Obviously, if you hike in dusty or muddy conditions, you may run out faster.

Our gray water tank was smaller than the fresh water tank, so it was more of a problem than the fresh water tank capacity. I would stop up the little tub and scoop out the shower water into the toilet to save gray water tank space.

Our 100 gal lasts us about 2 weeks but we could likely stretch to 3 weeks, so you should be safe with about 4 days not allowing the tap to run when cleaning teeth washing hands etc at full belt and taking navy showers, which we do x 2 every other day and we wash dishes at least once per day sometimes twice just in mindset of conserving water.

We also carry filtered water in containers for drinking, coffee making, cooking using main tank for just washing and bathing. Also we carry a couple of 20 gal containers of water as a back up, which in all fairness we've rarely used in over 13 years - others might carry a few 5 gallon ones.

Our 60 gal will last about 6 days for the 2 of us. About 1 shower a day (quickie) and we bring bottled water and plastic gallon containers for coffee and juice making. So dishes, toilet and quick showers we use about 10 gal per day.

Our tanks are about 35g each. Our first week long trip we used up all the fresh water and filled grey in 2 days. We had to move campsites anyway, so a stop to dump station was fine. 5 years later, we can last 8 nights. Just have to learn for yourself. We do utilize campground restrooms and showers as much as possible for those kinds of campsites (electric only at most Michigan State Parks).

My response was based on how long 100 gallons lasts me, alone, divided by 3. One short shower/day, one load of dishes/day.

Three, maybe four days with showers for the two of us every other day. When you go to take a shower, run the water into a clean pitcher until it gets hot enough to get into the shower. Save the clean water for other things.

After doing dishes, dump the soap water down the toilet. You've probably been conserving water so the extra water with the soap in the black tank will help it and keep your gray tank from filling up too fast.

I would go with 3 days for us also. However, we use the campground showers.

Without further info, your question is impossible to answer. Some people could only go one day.... others, maybe an entire week. Usage is key and everyone's idea of boon-docking usage is different. Do you take long showers? Do you take very short 'Navy' showers? Some take no showers at all... just washcloth baths... Do you wash dishes? etc. Even simple act of washing your hands can consume fair amounts of water if if you turn the water on full and wash thoroughly rather than let the water dribble over your hands while soaping and rinsing. With 66 gallons of water we have boon-docked 12 days and had a tiny amount left over.... using pretty strict usage practices.

Showers use the most water...stand in the shower and rinse shampoo and conditioner out of long hair...well you get the picture.
