Be sure your charger/converter is sufficient for properly charging AGM's.

Batteries are standardized...should not matter what type.

Did you replace with same size?

I pulled the battery tray out of my Northstar Igloo and was able to barely fit 2 Lifeline 30 HT AGM batteries with 150 A/H each. The 300 A/H total is a substantial improvement over what I could accommodate with the tray. Of course with AGM batteries the tray is not needed because there is no maintenance or testing needed.

I pulled the tray out of my AF811 when I upgraded to AGMs back in February.

I honestly kind of disliked that tray anyway.

In place of the tray, I put in a 3/8" piece of plywood and slipped some thin strips of oak in between the batteries to act as spacers to keep them apart, and to keep them from moving in the compartment.

I have pics of it, but I don't think I every uploaded them to my photo sharing account.

I have a single 100 AH AGM since 2005. It is mounted inside of my TC. I could go with more AGMs, but really do not have the need. I would go to a lot of work to prevent going back to flooded wet cells.

This is my preference, note the battery dimensions at the bottom of the page.

remember AGM batteries can be laid on their sides with no adverse effects. Also the Interstate versions are shorter and narrower than some of the others
