Anyone install front hitch on new trucks?

I've been considering ways to take my dual sport on my truck.
I could probably upgrade to the Reese Titan or Superhitch, but the front may work.
Looking under my 15 Ram, I don't see the big solid "beams" the older trucks had.
A lot of stuff under there like radiators, coolers, etc.
Is there a stabdard hitch made for these trucks or is it a custom job?
I'm sure if there's a will there's a way.

I've had the Curt on my truck for two years. No issues, works perfect. I currently use it for a Kuat 4 bike rack and I will be adding two place motorcycle rack soon. I will be hauling my KTM 500 XCW and my sons 50.

If you want a picture or two let me know and I can email it to you.

Not new truck but new bumper with built in receiver and brush guard. Haul spare tire up there and adding actual grey tank in spare's vacated space.

I'm about to put on a Curt (curtmfg.com) front receiver on my 2016 3500 as the height is lower. I'm adding a Snowsport plow and will also use it for my bike rack. The plow required a working height on the receiver between 8-16".above grade.

I had a front hitch installed (bolt-on) on my GMC 1500 and added a front aluminum storage rack from Princess Auto. With a Roadmaster sway clamp added to the receiver hitch shaft, it worked wonderful on 12000km trip on very rough roads in Labrador. I intend to add a similar front hitch and rack to my new GMC 3500.

I had one welded to the front. The bolt in options would sit too low. Didn't cost much more to make it permanent.

Add a Versahaul bike carrier to a hitch. Dual Sport bike on a front hitch would block too much of my view.

It has a 500 lb vertical weight, I wonder if a motorcycle on a rack weighing close to that bouncing up and down will cause a problem over the long run?

Maybe some turnbuckle supports could be added? Even with bikes, I find enough slop in the hitch to require some tying off.

I have a RAM similar to yours, I installed the Draw-Tite that bolts on to where your tow hooks on.

The one caution I will point out to you is that on the RAM truck that hitch mount will be much higher up in the front of the truck, almost in the middle of the front end. Most other mounts attach quite a bit lower to the front of the truck.

So when I mounted my bike rack, there was no adaptor listed or tried that could lower the bikes enough for me to see over them, they stuck up over the hood by a good 2 feet. You would have the same problem with your motorcycle.

Thanks, guess I should have googled it first. 😞
It just didn't look "hitch friendly" under there.
